A wonderful hotel experience like no other! This is a small castle hotel with a history of about 500 years with dozens of acres of lawns and woods, warm service staff and castle owners. The room is quiet, clean and comfortable, and the equipment is made in France. The breakfast is good and the local fruits are delicious. The castle is full of monuments and decorations, giving it a strong sense of history. The door is usually closed, which is different from ordinary hotels. Before arriving, you need to contact the hotel by email and phone number in advance to get the password to enter the door. After pressing the password, the door will open automatically, which is more interesting.

Accueil à la fois très professionnel, très personnalisé et extrêmement sympathique (combinaison très rare) ; tous les détails ont été réfléchis en amont et mis en place pour la satisfaction des hôtes. Je cherche un défaut à signaler, mais je n'en trouve pas.... Peut être l'absence de morilles dans le parc (Gaël comprendra ce que je veux dire) PARFAIT EN TOUS POINTS

Probably the best part of our 3 week trip throughout France in 2023. Gaël and Cécile along with their team were the most gracious & accommodating anyone could be. With this being the first time the Loire Valley, we did a lot of exploring in the beautiful countryside. That being said, I'd go back in a heart beat and spend much more time to relax at the chateau itself. Highly, highly recommend and plan to return in the future.

Magical stay at a fabulous chateau in beautiful grounds. The team were amazing, incredibly welcoming and helpful and we even had a tour of the chateau with information about the history of the area. Great breakfast. Lovely comfortable drawing room with log burner and the bedroom was beautiful.

Comme à chaque fois, merveilleux séjour au Château des Grotteaux. C'est un superbe lieu, inspiré, au calme et proche de tous les trésors du Val de Loire. Cécile et Gaël sont des hôtes charmants et de bons conseils pour les visites (ils nous ont fait découvrir cette fois le Château de Talcy), les restaurants, ... Nous reviendrons, bien sûr.

Nous avons passé un inoubliable séjour au château de Grotteaux. Le lieu est magnifique, le parc, le château, la décoration, la literie, tout. Nous avons aimé l’excellent petit déjeuneur avec de produits de qualité de la région et même fait maison ainsi que la convivialité du moment en discutant avec Gaël, Cécile ou Emma sur notre programme de la journée car le château des Grotteaux est idéalement situé près de plusieurs châteaux. La visite guidée du lieu est très instructive et dynamique, Gaël nous a fait voyager dans le passé avec ses dotes de narrateur passionné. Enfin, nous avons l’envie d’y retourner.

Excellent séjour lors d'un week-end. Accueil très agréable. La décoration est très belle et le cadre enchanteur. Les propriétaires sont à l'écoute de leur clients. Nous sommes ravis de ce séjour et nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

As we drove through the gates of Chateau des Grotteaux we were greeted by a carpet of cyclamen flowering in the woodland adjacent to the drive. A delightful small chateau owned by Gael and Cecile who were happy to chat and tell us about the local area and history of the building. We stayed for two nights and each morning there was a delicious buffet breakfast, fresh fruits, yoghurts, various cheeses and homemade jams of course with fresh bread and croissants. Our room, Zeus, was spotlessly clean, lovely crisp white bedlinen and a large ensuite bathroom. Views from the bedroom window across fields towards the river and in the distance we spotted several hot air balloons over the Loire valley. My friend Julie and I decided to head for Chateau de Cheverny which was well worth a visit and only about a 20 min drive away. Much larger Chateau de Chambord is only a 5 min drive. We would definitely highly recommend Chateau des Grotteaux and hope to visit again on our next trip to the Loire valley.
