Hotel Ocean Grand at Hulhumale

It was conveniently located just 15 minutes from Male International Airport. From the ocean view rooms, it was a short walk to the beach right in front of us. When we arrived at the airport, a shuttle car came to pick us up. It was also very helpful that they picked us up at the time we wanted on the way back to the airport. The room was not large, but it was clean and there were no problems with the water pressure in the shower. Overall, the stay was comfortable thanks to the hotel staff.

I took a late Singapore Airlines flight to Male and landed at about 10:30 pm. I couldn't go to the island, so I had to choose a transit hotel near the airport to stay for one night. The first thing to consider is that there must be airport pick-up, otherwise it would be very difficult to find a hotel in the middle of the night when I was unfamiliar with the place and dragging my luggage. The second thing is that it must be clean and tidy so that I can sleep and rest. After reading a lot of reviews, I finally chose Ocean Grand. It turns out that it is a good transit hotel. I booked a hotel on a certain platform and called the customer service to make an appointment for airport pick-up. I am a person with obsessive-compulsive disorder, so I was worried, so I wrote an email to the hotel. After receiving a reply and confirmation, I was ready to leave. Airport pick-up: As soon as I left the airport, I saw many staff holding signs. I walked around and didn't see Ocean Grand. I asked and found out that they were holding Samann signs. They are all owned by the same boss and managed in a unified manner. I waited for a while, and when all the guests who were leaving together arrived, I got on the car and set off. The shuttle bus was good, it was a new business car. It took about 15 minutes to drive from the airport. It was already past 11 o'clock in the evening when we arrived at the hotel. The lobby was wooden and had a faint spice smell. I never expected that I would be given a welcome drink and hand towel. I checked in quickly and went to the room (the room fee was prepaid, and an environmental fee of 3 US dollars per person was required on site). The room was quite small. My big suitcase almost covered the aisle when it was opened. There was only one super small window, but it was quite clean and tidy, and the bedding was OK, so it was OK to catch up on sleep. The soundproofing was indeed not very good, and the noise from the corridor and the next door could be heard. My side was not close to the road, so I slept well. The breakfast was good. The restaurant was on the 7th floor. The terrace had a first-line sea view, which was really beautiful. It was the first sight of the Maldives sea I saw (but it was too sunny, so I sat indoors). There were not many dishes, but it was enough. The omelet I ordered looked more like an omelet, which was delicious with cheese in it. After breakfast, we went out for a walk. Opposite the hotel is the beach. Many residents were swinging on the beach and swimming in the seawater pool. It was really chill. We set off for Male Airport to the island at noon. The airport drop-off time was arranged in advance by the hotel, which was worry-free. The staff were very enthusiastic. From helping with luggage at the airport, to checking in at the hotel, to serving in the breakfast restaurant, they were all really good.

靠近大海，外部環境還不錯，房間很小，價格比國內比確實比較貴，餐食沒什麼花樣，很普通的西式快餐，早餐還不錯．服務還算不錯．性價比不算好，但也無功無過．

The hotel guys provided very good service, warm welcome, the welcome juice was delicious, the guys actively helped to solve the problem, the breakfast in the breakfast room on the 7th floor was rich, the view was also very good, the room was a little narrow, but two large suitcases could be spread out, we spent one night there,

The room is small and the facilities are average, but Male seems to be the type of hotel where it’s okay for one night…
