I was genuinely surprised by how much this border city touched my heart. We arrived at the hotel a little after 1 PM. My elderly mother has some difficulty walking, so we were incredibly touched when, just as we stepped out of the car, a young man from the hotel immediately came forward to help her and assist with our luggage. He made several trips for our bags, and on our way up to the room, he even shared his contact information and provided a thoughtfully organized list of local attractions and recommended dishes.
