Hotel Huntington Beach

Hotel location is very good, opposite the shopping center, there is Costco, wholesale price, there is whole food market, organic fruit and vegetable shop, there are various restaurants and bars, very convenient. There is a bus to the beach at the door of the hotel, and the shuttle bus is free on weekends.
SpringHill Suites Huntington Beach Orange County

Overall, this is a good hotel to stay in for the area. It is not too close to the freeway or the busy street of Beach Blvd. It is upwind from the freeway and so you can breathe a little bit easier. Directly across the street is Whole Foods supermarket and Bella Terra, a shopping and dining complex which consists of California Pizza Kitchen, Cheese Cake Factory, Island Burgers, Jamba Juice, Somi Somi, Jamba Juice, and a whole bunch of stuff. There’s also REI if you need camping gear and a movie theater too. If you want Vietnamese noodle soup, there are two of the best noodle shops in Orange County within walking distance: they are Silk Noodle Bar (they make their noodles fresh and their filet mignon pho is out of this world. You can add other meats like meatballs to it if you want.) and Pho 101 (their sister restaurant Pho 79 won the James Beard Award recently. They have a good variety of things like the grilled pork and shrimp vermicelli. You may have to wait in line for a bit on the weekends.) A 5 minute walk to Beach Boulevard will get you to the bus stop where for $2 (or $4 for an unlimited one day pass) can get you to the beach and Huntington Beach Pier. Back to the hotel, you can expect a fairly insulated wall, a robust air conditioning system, clean rooms and amenities (their is an exercise room where you can get your water bottle refilled). My room 220 has a broken faucet though. (I took .5 points off for this but gave them the benefit of the doubt and gave them 5 stars anyway because the staff, especially Nicolas and Anthony were great in helping to take care of it. These guys were genuinely concerned about my dilemma of waking at night to use the toilet and faucet and couldn’t shut the water off until I had to shut off the valve below the sink.) There is, however, a new trainee at the front desk during the week that I am here. She is the embodiment of the Wells Fargo perky but has no soul employee who unnecessarily tries to engage you in conversation by making and/or asking personal statements questions. I know she is new. All I have to say is for her to lower her voice a bit and imagine that she is checking in her aunts and uncles each time she relates to people at the front desk. The room layout is natural and convenient. The architect who drew this layout up is a genius. The a/c hums but not noisily. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom and toilet are clean. The second floor has an open terrace that you can sunbathe and play games. Overall, this is a good choice if you can afford this price range.
