Outrigger Maldives Maafushivaru Resort

Very nice resort! Lots of marine life and the rooms were amazing. We stayed at a water villa.

Wow, generally there is something that disappoints when booking a five star destination - not this time. This is truly a five star experience - from personalised arrival greeting at the airport, being met by manger and personal butler on arrival that is ready to attend to any need, to the personalised sent-off at the end of our stay, again complemented by resort staff at the airport to guide through the process. Moosa, our butler, was an exceptional communicator that assisted greatly in accommodating our needs including booking of experiences. The resort is beautifully maintained with staff always unobtrusively busy making sure it remains that way, while meeting your needs on a personal level. The dive center, spa and restaurants were all great. We stayed in an over water villa with pool and it it truly was one of the most beautiful settings we've experienced - that also ensured that riding out bad weather was no problem at all. Would definitely love to return!

We stayed at Outrigger Maafushivaru for 7 nights and 8 days as our honeymoon, and every moment proved us that we came to the perfect place. Generally, resorts in the Maldives fall into two categories: ones with beautiful lagoons that lack marine life, and ones that are full of marine life but have little lagoon to enjoy. However, we could enjoy both the amazing lagoon view as well as various marine life at Outrigger Maafushivaru thoroughly during our stay. There were exotic fish and baby sharks everywhere, near the water villas and even under them. The view from our water villa as well as around the island was unrealistic at sunrise, during the day, at sunset and even at night, as we could see hundreds of stars with our naked eyes. Excursions at Outrigger were great as well. Though unfortunately we could not see whale sharks, we saw manta rays, turtles and nurse sharks at a very close distance during snorkeling. The dolphin cruise was also an amazing experience, as we could see right beneath our feet the dolphins swimming along with the cruise. The guides that led the excursions perfectly knew what they were doing, and we really appreciated their effort trying to find the natural marine life that we sought. The food at Outrigger were excellent as well. It was difficult to choose what to eat in the morning buffets as there were so many choices of food from different cultures and countries. Lunch at Edgewater were perfect every time, with a great view toward the lagoon. We especially loved all of the pizzas we had at Edgewater. For dinner, Outrigger runs four restaurants: Moodhu Grill, Artisan, Koto, and Cuisine. All the food we had were delicious, and it was heartbreaking to leave some behind as we were full every time. All of the staff members were so kind and helpful in every way, and we would like to especially thank Vivi, for the kind support she gave us every time we asked for something. She even took pictures and videos for us in her spare time, which were amazing. We wish we could visit Outrigger again in the future!

My husband and i stayed for 4 days , 3 nights at Outrigger to celebrate our 10 years anniversary, where do i start .. from the moment we set foot on the resort till the moment we left , nothing fell short of exceptional! The resort itself is breathtaking .. the ocean, the immaculate landscape the pristine beaches and our sunrise overwater villa with pool was a dream of an escape from daily pressures .. our host, Jinah was so attentive and took care of our every need and made sure our celebration was unforgettable in every way ! THANK YOU Jinah ! . Snorkelling from our villa was our daily treat and we enjoyed it tremendously. The food was exceptional and the service soooo warm and friendly ! Shoutout to Sashi and Milo for their amazing service and friendly and warm greetings every morning and evening . They made a point of getting to know us , our names , preferences and by the second morning they knew our favourite drinks and how we liked them .. an all round dream of an experience! We will definitely be back ♥️♥️

All the staff were friendly and helpful, it was a great stay. 何かあればMoosaさんとLINEで連絡がとれる為、心強いです。 到着時にアレルギーの有無や嫌いな食べ物について聞いてくれ、それがレストランにも共有されます。 レストランでは量や食材の希望を伝えれば自在にアレンジしてくれます。 日本食レストランもあり、日本で食べるものとは料理法や名称が多少違ったりしますが、それはそれで美味しいので楽しめます。 このリゾートの一番のおすすめポイントはスタッフが皆優しくフレンドリーなことです。 英語が苦手でも思い切って話しかけると色んな話をしてくれて楽しみが増えます。 マリンスポーツセンターもメニューは充実していますが、最小催行人数が足りずキャンセルになることがあるので、早めに申し込んで様子を見た方がいいかも。 スパやレストランからイルカやウミガメが泳いでいるのが見えました！

If you ever wanted to go to paradise, this is the right place for you. This place is just perfect to hide from the world and get everything you dreamed of - from stunning views and outstanding service till 5-stars cuisine and just incredible people. We are not sure what we miss more - the place or the people who work there. Special thanks to Kim, who made our stay even more perfect as it already was and to the Chef Sendil, who took care of us and specially of my husband who is highly allergic to some products. But in fact we are thankful to every person, whom we met there for being just like a friends to us - guys, we hope you can read it - thank you from the bottom of our hearts, we will never forget you and miss you so much. How do you describe somewhere in the world so perfect? Honestly didn’t believe there was such a place until my husband and I visited Maafushivaru Maldives in May. We stayed here on the recommendation of Kuoni and it was the best recommendation ever. Within two hours of our arrival, my husband and I both said we wished we were staying longer. That instant welcome and warmth we were greeted with was overwhelming. Moosa We were honoured to have Moosa as our Personal Guest Assistant. His efficiency and friendliness during check-in was exemplary which was reassuring after a long journey. He afforded special attention to our villa and needs. He has a lovely gentle discreet manner and wants to ensure the stay is faultless. He had even noticed we hadn’t included a dinner reservation at the Teppanyaki Table during our stay so on his recommendation, we thankfully did as the experience was outstanding. Moosa was always available and nothing was too much trouble. On the day of our departure, Moosa kindly joined us on the boat to the seaplane which was a lovely touch as he knew we were sad to leave. His commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction is commendable. He went above and beyond to ensure our needs were meet every single day which we were both truly grateful. Villa We stayed in an overwater villa which was an amazing experience. We didn’t expect to see so much sea life from the balcony and to have the steps going straight down into the ocean was magical. The layout of the villa has been well thought out; separate outdoor access to the bathroom so you don’t have to walk through the bedroom in your wet swimwear. Literally everything you need is provided. Housekeeping The villa was always immaculate and we were lucky enough to be looked after by the lovely Nafiu. If we were on the balcony during one of his visits, he was always very discreet and respectful. Housekeeping work extremely hard visiting twice a day and nothing went unnoticed; always very thorough and loved the personal touches. Food and Beverage The food was absolutely fabulous with each and every meal a true delight. The choice of gluten free dishes available was outstanding and so refreshing for my husband. Chandlana (Restaurant Manager) kindly arranged a surprise of the most amazing display of curry dishes on our last evening in the Cuisine Gallery. Wherever you eat at Maafushivaru the standard of food is exceptional throughout. The culinary expertise and delectable dishes prepared each day were a highlight of our stay. The choice of drinks was vast and great to have the expertise of Viafil, Assistant Bar Manager, and learn from his wealth of knowledge. Staff Every staff member we encountered provided a constant smile and outstanding customer service. All with professionalism and dedication which contributed greatly to our holiday.
