We arrived on 5.17.24, at 0830, which was more than six hours prior to our check-in time. The person at reception offered us an early check-in time for $70, which included breakfast. This was perfect for us, as we had an overnight flight and just wanted to relax. The same young man at reception gave us recommendations for places to visit that were nearby, as we were tired and only had the one day. We enjoyed Happy Hour and dinner there. All of the servers and the bartender were outstanding and clearly had customer service skills. The next night we were at a different hotel and as I was unpacking, I noticed that my very favorite, old, ratty jacket was missing. It dawned on me that I left it hanging in the closet at Hotel Ork. This jacket had more sentimental value to me than anything else. I bought it in 1992 and have taken it all over the world with me and could not believe that I was so careless. We contacted the hotel and they said they’d get back to us if they found it. I was devastated when they said they didn’t find it anywhere. I am generally not attached to anything, so it was a bit of a blow. To shorten this long tale, the next day we were notified it was found and now it’s on its way back to me! Many, many thanks to Eric, who went out of his way to help a random stranger find her old jacket.
