An excellent stay. My second time. I was welcomed back like royalty. The staff were very friendly; and went above and beyond to make our stay better. The restaurant and spa were also a welcome treat! Much appreciated.

I had no expectations for my first time at a hostel, and Midgard set the bar HIGH. Friendly people, great amenities, and overall a fun vibe! Would definitely go back.

We spent an amazing day on a superjeep tour with guide Sven. A memorable day . Sven was so knowledgeable, entertaining and looked after us all so well. We would never have had chance to experience that part of Iceland and learnt so much about the volcanoes, glaciers and formations we see today. Thank you

In realtà piu che un ostello, sembra un hotel di alta categoria… arredi trendy e di design, camere minimal dotate di ogni comfort, pulizia ottima, ristorante buono e reception con personale cortese e attento. C’è anche una cucina comune per chi non volesse cenare a pagamento e offrono the e caffè! Il fiore all’occhiello è la sauna con idromassaggio sul tetto , stupenda ( danno i teli e ci sono armadietti appena fuori) .. e poi gli spazi comuni, con musica dal vivo e un ambiente conviviale. Per me la struttura migliore del ns viaggio in Islanda! Congrats to all the staff!

Gina at the front desk was absolutely wonderful, she was so friendly and happy, it just made us feel so welcome! Dinner was excellent and very very quick.
We stayed in a private room which was a bit small, the worst part was the stomping that we heard consistently above us from 7pm through 1am. This was very frustrating as we are light sleepers. We did not get the rest we needed. I understand its a hostel but I am just unsure how there was so much constant activity until after midnight. Not sure we would stay again.

Midgard is not so much a hotel as it is a community or a lifestyle. This was my second trip to Midgard with a large group of studentsm and it was great to reconnect with the team members who remembered us from our prior stay. All the staff I encountered have a tangible passion and committment to the place that is palpable. It also boasts a lovely restaurant & bar and sauna & hot tub with direct views on local farms, horses, glaciers (especially Eyjafjallajökull) and the Westman Isles (in the distance). Chad
