My boyfriend booked a weekend away for my birthday. I was a little worried because of it being the "off season" but based one the web page, I didn't think we would encounter the disappoin**ents we did. My boyfriend pre-paid but did not get the room he paid for. Our view was of construction vehicles as well and hardly any site of the water. We had no idea the hotel was under as much construction as it was, and although we would have been understanding knowing in advance, we were disappointed that no information was available regarding this online. Our room wasn't the cleanest and our tub and mirrors were filthy. There were not any restaurants open on site and I would have had to walk to the lobby to get coffee. There was an in room pot but it didn't work. The parking was easy once we knew were to go. There were no signs or indication where to check in. We almost felt like being off season guests bringing business to your property during a slower time, we'd be treated a little better. We very much wanted to stop by the front desk to request our money back but were so disappointed that we just left earlier than we intended to. I worked for Hilton Hotels for many years and I would not expect a stay to be this way for any guest. We will not be returning or recommending this property.
