This is a spotless property and the host is very attentive. He will do anything to make sure your stay is comfortable. The property is situated in a large garden which the host will proudly give you a tour of. The rooms are comfortable and showers very good. Dinner was plentiful and served in a canteen style room above the garage. That could do with some more atmosphere but for a home stay it was excellent food. The new rooms in the detached building looked very good but we stayed in the main house

Très agréable Homestay de quatre chambres située à Thekkady. Le propriétaire, qui vous fera visiter son jardin d’épices, est aux petits soins et toujours disponible pour ses hôtes. Mention spéciale pour les repas qui ont été excellents.

Spent 2 nights in amazing surroundings. Greeted by lovely host who took us on a tour of his cardamom/spice plantation. He couldn't have been more attentive. His cook arranged food to suit our palate, beautiful masala dosa for breakfast! Rooms were cool, with amazing views! Definitely would recommend

What a delightful welcome we received. After an arduous drive, this was the perfect antidote. The room was spacious and quiet. Set in the grounds of a working spice plantation you can have a tour which is fascinating. Our repast was cooked and served by the loveliest chap.

Third stay on an organised tour with a local driver. This was a package - so can't comment upon value etc. The owners were welcoming and informed - and are rightly proud of their property. They have expanded and built upon at different times to include a separate residential and eating block. The rooms are very traditional with teak fixtures, balcony overlooking the garden and a separate seating area. The food was cooked fresh, (no menu provided but we enjoyed the surprise element). Everything we ate was enjoyable, tasty and a credit to the chef, thank you. Was quite concerned when was told that there was going to be English food for our second evening meal - however, it was what I described as fusion cuisine. This was the first property where we could actually walk into a small town - we took advantage of this and bought some shoes, mosquito spray etc from a local shop. I really wish, I had visited the tailor here. This was also the first place where there appeared to be a lot of birds and butterflies present. however, these hid when the rain started and didn't stop. This also meant, we couldn't use the balcony which was a shame. there isn't much to do if the weather is poor - but I suppose, we were just unlucky, in that respect. Noises from cows next door, but they were quite nice and peaceful really. This was the quietest place we stayed, and again, would not say isolated but peaceful. We had a whistle stop tour of the gardens, which we really enjoyed and would have loved to explore further. Overall, we would return here - although as part of a package, not sure what this stay represents in terms of costings.

Nice, clean and cosy place. Had a very warm welcome by the owner. The small spice garden and surrounding trees make it a great place for relaxation. Family-friendly and highly recommended as a homestay..... Will come back for a longer stay.

Pepper County is a farm stay accommodation catering for smaller groups and couples. A beautiful relaxing and peaceful place. Our host and and owner of this property has been a most gracious host, giving us very personal service and a guided tour of his amazing produce and spice garden. The accomodation is very comfortable and within walking distance to all amenities. If you want to take in the Periyar National Park this is a good place to stay. Also the Omlette for Breakfast was the best I have eaten.

A very friendly welcome by the family, the rooms served our needs for the night but they were basic. We had a sitting area of our own which was lovely and the owner came to chat with us which was very nice. A lovely home cooked Indian meal with a very friendly chef, basic but very tasty food. 15 acres of beautiful gardens which sadly we didn’t have time to explore. A lovely owner who made us feel right at home. Not far out of town so you could walk around and explore easily.
