Third stay on an organised tour with a local driver. This was a package - so can't comment upon value etc. The owners were welcoming and informed - and are rightly proud of their property. They have expanded and built upon at different times to include a separate residential and eating block. The rooms are very traditional with teak fixtures, balcony overlooking the garden and a separate seating area. The food was cooked fresh, (no menu provided but we enjoyed the surprise element). Everything we ate was enjoyable, tasty and a credit to the chef, thank you. Was quite concerned when was told that there was going to be English food for our second evening meal - however, it was what I described as fusion cuisine. This was the first property where we could actually walk into a small town - we took advantage of this and bought some shoes, mosquito spray etc from a local shop. I really wish, I had visited the tailor here. This was also the first place where there appeared to be a lot of birds and butterflies present. however, these hid when the rain started and didn't stop. This also meant, we couldn't use the balcony which was a shame. there isn't much to do if the weather is poor - but I suppose, we were just unlucky, in that respect. Noises from cows next door, but they were quite nice and peaceful really. This was the quietest place we stayed, and again, would not say isolated but peaceful. We had a whistle stop tour of the gardens, which we really enjoyed and would have loved to explore further. Overall, we would return here - although as part of a package, not sure what this stay represents in terms of costings.
