Ace Hotel and Swim Club Palm Springs

fun place to hang by the pool, gives you the old school feel. drinks are a bit expensive tho....

We were there for only one night but were very impressed with the facilities and the customer service. It was a great place for our family stay (with our maltipoo) and we'd come back again anytime.

Beautiful hotel. We were upgraded to the King Suite with two large couch areas, so it could probably sleep 4 people! The swimming pool was incredible. Great DJs playing, and an incredible vibe with so many young people lounging by the pool.

This property is way overpriced for the value. They don’t clean rooms unless requested, limited towels, no bellmen or valet, dirty property that needs a major facelift, chain link fences. It’s a 3 star hotel pretending to be way more upscale than it is. Huge disappointment

There was no “connection” so no TV for our entire stay (we were offered 2 drinks from their bar as compensation). There was no hot water on our last day. I asked for an adjustment to our bill and was told “she would check with her manager” and was never contacted. The room was dark, no full length mirror and bad lighting in the bath area. The bar and pool were groovy but nothing helps correct a cross country flight after a 2 and 1/2 mile hike with no warm water so I could not wash my hair and had to jump in to rinse off. I would not stay here again.

I've never stayed in an Ace before but was excited to do so after hearing from friends that it was great. I was not impressed and likely wouldn't stay again. The first room we were assigned on check in was just actually gross. Kind of under the stairs by the pool, it was dark, damp, and smelled musty. Its "patio" was a tiny concrete block jail cell that barely got daylight. No other windows in the room. I politely requested to move if possible and was offered several options; I was grateful for the graciousness of the front desk for allowing a switch. That said, it was very weird that they wouldn't recommend a room -- I asked which would be brighter/have windows, and they seemed stumped. Second room was definitely an improvement, but still very glum and drab. The furnishings are kind of a desert glamping vibe I guess. Very basic and utilitarian. Def not designy. The shower was dark and leaky. And it was weird that everything in the room was "for sale" for absurdly high prices. Thanks but no thanks on the random linen cloth (aka "commune blanket"?) for $200. The pool was nice, but there were no clean towels and seemingly no one working, so there was a massive pile of used towels and lots of random cups cluttering the space. The onsite restaurant was fine - basically a pricey diner. Also, if you want to charge an electric car but it's not a Tesla, too bad. I dunno I guess I just didn't get the vibes. But I did get charged an extra $50ish a night for the "resort fee"!

Never sent a final statement. The only way I know what I paid was by looking at my Credit Card statement. Unfortunately my bank doesn't provide a breakdown of the expenses. The property is looking tired, could use a refresh, especially the guest rooms. I suppose if I was still 25 I would overlook it, but older and wiser now I expect better. Service, by everyone I came in contact with was friendly and helpful and that saved the review from being 2 stars.

The pools and hot tub were nice, but for the price I paid for my room, it was not worth it. The room was also never once cleaned or attempted to be cleaned while we were in it. Ran out of toilet paper and towels and had to go ask for them. Our trash was also overflowing from not being emptied.

No room service if you are not staying 3 or more nights. We stayed 2 nights and asked to come change our towels and beds the receptionist refused it saying you need to stay 3 or more nights to have that service. And it’s not a cheap place to stay. We paid $1150 for 2 nights per 1 room!
