Excellent hotel/restaurant. From the hands on owner to the newest of staff, they ensure that you are part of their family. Suites are spacious. Food is excellent. The free adjoining leisure centre pool, steam &sauna is very relaxing. Would highly recommend.

I recommended this hotel to the group I was with ..wish I hadn’t. Truly awful. The gym was not a gym the pool was dirty.I’m going to be fair the staff were lovely and the restaurant was good….but the breakfast was abysmal if you can’t get a breakfast right! This hotel is in a prime location it needs to improve. Me or the party I was with will never stay again or recommend it.

Not great, the hotel is very dated with peeling wallpaper and wonky plug sockets. The room was reasonably priced but that was the only good thing about the stay. Furniture looked old and the bed was rock hard and felt very old. Decor was bleak and made the room feel dark and tired. Rooms were very spacious but this didn't really add much. Would not recommend this hotel or stay here again. Felt like it may have been nice 25 years ago but nothing has been updated since then

OK there are a few things you could complain about. Unkempt balconies and past the best fitted furniture but this is still a lovely hotel. Where else can you get a suite for just over £100 per night? It has an excellent restaurant the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable I love it here and will be back as often as possible

Overall an excellent hotel, it has it's pros and cons as expected but we had a fantastic time. We stayed dinner, bed and breakfast for one night with our dog as a pre baby arrival get away. Pros: - Pet friendly! Our room was on the ground floor and had direct access to the garden for letting the dog in and out. However, there were no water bowls or dog towels/beds provided. There were also no obvious bins for dog poo and I stepped in another dog's poop whilst taking mine out. - The food was phenomenal with a wide variety to choose from. The manager did a fantastic job at making us feel welcom and went out of his way for our comfort, even turning the heating down for my pregnancy hot flushes! As we were DBB we had a 3 course set menu to choose from, we had to specially ask for this when we went in as we were given normal menus. Breakfast was also great! Nice selection of hot food and fruit juice. - Very spacious suit and nice hot showers. - lovely outdoor area. Cons: - The room was WAY too hot overnight and the radiators are exceptionally loud, even when turned off at the wall. - Communication when checking in was not great, we did not feel we were provided with all of the information and there was no welcome pack in the room. E.g. swimming pool opening times, where the pool/gym were, breakfast times, that there was a 3 course set menu for dinner, which areas of the hotel the dog was allowed, where the restaurant was. Obviously all things you could figure out but would have been good to know. - gym is on the much smaller side and the changing rooms could do with some modernisation, especially the lockers. - the milk provided with the tea and coffee in the room was out of date by a couple of weeks.

DREADFUL!!! awful service with LUKEWARM chicken goujons. staff were NOT accommodating and merely reheated our meal in the microwave. do NOT attend this establishment if you enjoy REAL food furthermore, the desert options were meagre, UNAPPEALING, and DISTASTEFUL. not worth our money, time or grace in any magnitude!

After driving over 2 hours to get there, paying an extra £25 for a superior suite…we ended up leaving straight away. The stay was for dinner, bed and breakfast as part of a voucher deal. The room we were given on arrival had furniture that had been painted over - poorly. Some sort of mould / damp problem near electrics in a cupboard. An almost inaccessible balcony that was in a dirty condition when you did manage to fight the door open. A sofa that was like sitting on the board - no cushioning. Bedside lighting was coming away from the wall. The window had been left open and there was an overpowering stench of some sort of artificial scent. When complaining at reception we were offered an alternative room which unfortunately was only fractionally better. There is no way these rooms are worth £80-£100 as listed on their website. The money looks to have been spent on creating a feature restaurant and reception area but unfortunately this gives a false impression as to how the actual hotel rooms will be. The staff were great and it must be hard to work within the parameters of the product they have to sell but it really is in dire need of complete refurbishment. Avoid.

Hotel exceeded our expectations. Stayed 2 nights, dinner on the 1st night and the 2 breakfasts in the Artisan restaurant were excellent. Special thanks to Christine in the restaurant and Tracy on reception who provided great customer service.

Had an amazing stay here, when we arrived we were informed we were upgraded to a superior suite which was a lovely surprise. The room was beautiful, clean and spacious. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. We wished we could have stayed a second night. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay 😀
