The owner's wife and a female staff member gave us a very detailed explanation. The facilities were very clean. There was a designated bicycle parking shed, so we felt safe. The hostel was nice, so we were able to relax and enjoy our stay.

Finally stayed in a more decent hotel in the four countries. Although looking at the map, the hotel is located in the city, but the living facilities are still some distance away. The room size is acceptable. As far as the standard of a Japanese hotel, the bathroom is quite large and the equipment is perfect, which looks in line with the ”international” standard. There are many TV channels that are more selective, and there are also 2-3 English movie channels. In addition, it should be a paid movie to choose from, but the description part is still Japanese. The air conditioning in the room seems to be centralized by the hotel, and the control of the room cannot function. Breakfast is a buffet style, focusing on Japanese flavors, and is dotted with Western food. The staff is serious and has the standard of a Japanese hotel.

Conveniently located about halfway between Onomichi and Imabari along the Shimanami Kaido, WAKKA is much more than a halfway stop. Staying here is an experience you won’t forget for a while. Between us we had a cottage and a dome ‘tent’ both with views of the water & the Tatara bridge (across which we had cycled). We opted for the BBQ dinner on our deck & it was wonderful: sashimi appetiser, local seafood, vegetables & meat (amazing steak, boar sausages, chicken) as well as rice, dessert and mint tea! The hospitality here is so warm that we felt immediately welcomed. All the staff were lovely. Reika (from reception) suggested a trip to the local onsen (public bath) and provided a voucher as well as minibus shuttle (10 min way). This was a great experience and good way to relax after a day’s cycling. We enjoyed breakfast sitting on the cafe deck (great coffee) before we set off for another day of cycling. As well as cottages & dome tents, there are dormitory beds for a more economical stay. WAKKA also offers support to cyclists who aren’t staying at the hotel.

We stayed here for one night in between our bike ride on the shimanami kaido. We choose to do the bike route in two days to relax and enjoy it. Room: We had a very good futon in our room. The decoration is very nice. It is clean and simple yet beautifull. Service: the staff is amazing here. They helped my boyfriend plan a romantic dinner in the restaurant opposite the hotel (also an amazing good restaurant!). Location: The hotel is in a good location on Ikuchijima. It is not that far off the main cycle route and the town is very nice to walk through. Not many people may stop during the bike route, but we do recommend it. It is important to also see the local culture and towns on the islands. Breakfast was served in SOIL and was amazing! You can choose for Japanese or western style breakfast. We personnaly prefer the Japanse breakfast. Their coffee is also quite good. The design of SOIL is very beautifull. We felt very relaxed during our breakfast. A special thank you to the hotel staff for helping plan our special moment at their hotel and at the restaurant. ＜3

7 ～ 8 years ago when I stayed at other super hotels (two-stage bed room), I thought it was small, but this time I stayed and it was the impression that it was narrow. The size of the bed is no problem, but there were many luggage, so there was little space to put and only to put on the bed. The bathroom was narrow and it felt difficult to move. Because there was one elevator, it may not be easy to ride when it is crowded. However, the location was within walking distance of convenience stores and restaurants, and the hotel itself was new and clean. Also, there was a free service of alcohol until 18:00 ～ 21:00, and there were many types and many were very satisfied here. Breakfast was free and there were not many types, but I would like to thank you for free. The woman also received amenities such as cosmetics, and the staff 々 was also kind and polite. Thank you.

GGuest UserMy wife and I had a wonderful stay at Ryokan Chaume. This family run Ryokan made us feel at home. The manager drove us to and from a terrific onsen nearby and afterwards we were served a delicious multi-course dinner. The drink list was excellent too. After a tasty Japanese style breakfast we needed help making an onward reservation, so the manager made several calls on our behalf and found us a place that had a last minute cancellation. I would recommend the Ryokan Chaume to anyone looking for a high quality inn.

WwzhkevinTruly excellent facilities. My friends and I were so impressed. It’s a hostel but you do get private spaces, basically giant cubicles with blinds and curtains to give you some privacy. Facilities were basic, but exceptionally clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful as well, despite seeming quite busy. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that the perfect hostel is still a hostel. You get people talking late into the night keeping you up with their mumbling. You have people snoring. It’s nothing the hostel can really do anything about, but it’s something to bear in mind.

Mikado, Dutsukawa Onsen, is an inn located in Dutsukawa Onsen. I will stay here this time. On December 10, 2020, I visited Nishiyama Koryuji Temple on that day. From there, I drove to the parking lot of Mikato. It is an unpaved parking lot, but it is easy to park. Enter the entrance. The hall has a Showa retro atmosphere. I will stay in a room called Yoshino on the first floor on this day. Japanese-style room. A massage chair is attached to the room. I go to a hot spring, but the room also has a bath. The room bath is also a hot spring, which is a luxury. Outside the window is a valley. Although it is an old room, the toilet is a hot water toilet seat. I had time to dinner, so I decided to take a walk. I can see something like a promenade under the road, but it seems that it has been left unattended for a considerable period of time, so I decided to go on the road. GGuest UserIt is a long established inn, and it is like a hot spring inn. It was full of Showa retro feeling, such as the cluttered corridors, wooden stairs railings, and tiled wash basins, but it was OK at all because it was a cheap night stay. The bath is also shared １ Every time two people enter, they lock it. The building is old, but the toilet was a washlet, and the hair dryer and pot in the room were new and clean. The walls are thin, but the guests around me seemed to be sensible, and I was able to spend quiet and comfortable at night. Imabari hand towels are also a nice service. Since it was an online reservation, I asked if I could issue a receipt, but I kindly asked him to issue it. The location is close to Imabari Port, but I walked about 10 minutes from Imabari Station in the shopping street.

Arriving at the hotel at 15:30, you can see it from the 55th Fudasho Nankobo, the room is a little small with a W bed, and it is a vinine hotel, so it is clean as it is. It is undeniable that it is aging due to aging. I think people on the pilgrimage are in a convenient place. Since there is no dinner, I procured food at a nearby supermarket (Super Marunaka, which takes less than 10 minutes on foot), breakfast was 6:30, buffet style, there were many items and the taste was reasonably good. The dining room door opened at 6:30 for breakfast at this hotel. I feel that 6600 yen including tax is a little expensive for this breakfast, but I feel that it can't be helped because it is close to Nankobo and the location is good.
