There was a convention in the town we wanted to stop on our self drive tour and all the hotels were booked. We drove an extra 45 minutes to this town and Scandic hotel. We got the last room which was wheel chair accessible. We were in the newer building which is a long walk from the registration desk. If you are in the new building park your car in that lot so you do not have to walk a mile. The rooms were large and nice. Breakfast was okay. Parking was free and secure with a guard. Prices on the higher side but we did not look at other hotels.

The wood-framed style of the forest is relatively economical but still quite comfortable. The sauna is very good! If you want to ski, it's great, but it's suitable for double board!
