Was extremely dissapointed our my stay. the food at "chimney corner" and "eagles nest" which we were surprised operated out of the same kitchen. we were even more surprised that breakfast was not complimentary and that we paid over 50 dollar for a breakfast that gave me food poisoning and ruined my ski day. overall the food was generally undercooked and overpriced. I will not be staying again at this hotel and will instead go to any of the plethora of options in canmore and banff.

What an amazing experience!!! Loved the stay , loved the atmosphere and loved the snow !!!!! Everyone was so happy we took the trip even though it’s end of the season; we were not expecting such amazing skiing conditions!!! It was great!!!!

The hotel is old but refurbished. The elevator is slow. But the food in the restaurant is great, and the staff were exceptional. The pull out couch was incredibly uncomfortable, and also very cold. There was only a thin blanket on it, as opposed to the cush duvet on the bed.

2 nights with little sleep. Snow cats banging away all night and using backup beepers (unnecessary when resort closed and working around accommodations). Had to keep window open as the room was very hot, even with thermostat off, so just made things louder. Paper thin walls/floor - could hear just general talking/tv beside and above and the guests above walking normally sounded like a heard of elephants. great location on the mtn but don't expect a good nights sleep. Other on mtn Resorts like Silverstar/Sunpeaks directly on the runs, you don't notice the snow cats at all - modern, quiet and don't use the beepers! Hot tub is like being in a cave - adjacent to slope but you don't have a view of anything. Ski lockers at opposite end of hotel, valet service would make things more convenient (like other slopeside mtn accommodations SunPEaks/Red MTN)

Lodging was fantastic - beautiful facilities and super friendly staff. It gets real quiet after the lifts close. Food choices are great. Definitely a great way to get to the slopes early and relax after a day skiing

Great location on the hill with very easy access to the ski runs. So quiet and very few crowds in the evening. Limited choice when it comes to restaurants, but the restaurants they do have are great, and spectacular views from the main dining room.

I go every year to Sunshine and stay on the hill for a couple of nights. The couple of years before I felt the food was not that great but this year was different. The food was excellent though I do wish there was more variety. I'd also mention that perhaps a little bit better housekeeping in the main dining room. As for the skiing this year was amazing for snow and conditions. I heard the conditions were so so because not very much snow earlier in the season but when I was there (Mid April) they were amazing. The weather was perfect with sun and just cold enough to make the snow crisp and dry. Also there was not as many people so quick to get on the lifts. All the staff I encounter were great as well. I would recommend Sunshine Mountain Lodge and the hill. It is very nice in summer as well to hike around. :)
