Had a one night stay. The check in was smooth and the clerk was professional and friendly. The room was extremely comfortable and had the appearance of having been recently remodeled. The bed was comfortable. Overall it was a very friendly pleasant stay.

Hotel is being remodeled- they put me in a room where the construction was right above me, an hour after check in i went down and asked to change rooms because of the news and they did their best to accommodate. Not much available for parking spaces

We turned the heater on as the temperature plummeted. It set the smoke alarms off and the burning smell was horribly scary. We shut the unit off and called the front desk. They said it's ok it happens ever year. Shower head was so full of filth the water barely came out. The vending machines don't take cards and the hotel doesn't have change. The bed wasn't comfortable. The fridge wasn't cold. For the money we paid to stay there it should have been way better.

The couch in the room was old, stained, uncomfortable, and had holes in it from cigarettes. Even though we were in a non-smoking room.

I enjoyed visiting Independence, KS., and staying at this property. Theresa and all the front desk staff were kind and friendly. The rooms were clean (the cleaning staff were diligent) and the breakfast was nice too. No doubt I will be staying again.
