Where do I start? I messaged them before checking in to request a crib and microwave for our baby and heating bottles. They said no problem. Then, I check in and they tell me I'll be upcharged. I was annoyed that I wasn't made aware of this before, but obliged. Then, they tell me upon check in that their water park would be closed for the one full day of staying there. Check in is at 4. We were only able to use the water park for 2 hours. I paid for it for 2 days in my resort fee on top of parking and amenity upcharges per day. The employee checking us in offered me a late check out to enjoy the water park longer. You know my only reason for booking this overpriced place? I called to see what time the late check out would be and that employee was so rude. She acted like I was lying, asked me who told me that, and said she needed to talk with her supervisor. Seems like the staff just makes up things as they go much like the miscommunication that began with my amenities request. Go to omni ranch in Rancho Mirage. It's more expensive, but at least you will actually get what you're paying for instead of a closed main attraction and lost employees. The pool bar staff was oddly unprofessional too. Close your resort or lower resort fees if you're going to price gouge for mediocrity.

There were some major pros and cons with this resort.  The rooms had clearly been recently renovated and were very nice and modern, beds were comfortable, bathroom counter was spacious. The sofa bed was a little questionable and hard to get it to cooperate.  They for some reason clearly cut corners on the shower heads, which were kind of ridiculous and clearly cheap. Service was generally good - we called for help with the sofa bed and engineers showed up very quickly.  But the pools were visibly filthy, and all but the lazy river were very cold, when we'd expect them to be heated to a nicer temperature.  It was a busy weekend, but clearly their filtration systems can't keep up with the number of people in the pools and lazy river.  The water was so visibly murky that I was hesitant to even get in the water.  They also had nowhere near enough inner tubes for the number of guests in the lazy river, and many guests ended up having to go to Target to buy their own, including us. We were also unable to take advantage of the free breakfast that came with our booking one Sunday morning because it was an hour and 45 minute wait time.  The breakfast restaurant was being renovated and they were serving breakfast in a small ballroom, but I'm not sure what the issue was.  The next morning, we ended up waiting for the breakfast, and despite the long wait time, once we got in, there were lots of empty tables, so it was unclear why they were making people wait so long. Overall we had fun but it was a little expensive for what it was and the cons would make me hesitant to go back.

Great Experience and the Hotel and Staff were awesome. Will be going again! I have stayed in other Hotels near by and this was one of my favorite vacations because of the quality of the hotel and service provided by the staff.

I had very high hopes for this property based off their social media marketing and our stays at HR Huntington Beach and HR Lake Tahoe, however this property shouldn’t currently be in the same class as the other two resorts. The dining options were extremely limited, there were no daily offered activities, the water park was closed the full day we were there, plus the tennis courts were closed for maintenance. The only plus was our room was recently updated. While updated, the room still needs some finessing, there are bare cords and random outlets throughout the room plus the mini fridge is a last minute add on. Next time we’re in the area we would stay at the Renaissance or somewhere in town. This is the first HR to let us down.

People reserve 10 chairs they don’t need and I could not find one chair at 9:30 am. I recommend the hotel assigns name tags for each family and the chairs that have no tags get retaken by someone who needs them!
