Old train station transfer to hotel they keep some wagon inside to so the decorations

I don’t mind dropping $600 a night on a hotel room, but you better put out an exceptional product for for that price! There is no on-site parking except except 25-30 valet spots which were of course full! But when I asked the valet where to park, I was told in the garage. Not how to get there, just in the garage. Well the garage is not on-site and when I googled parking garages, I ended up a mile away. The Hyatt Regency is only a block away, much better choice!

This may have been the most positive hotel experience I have had in my life. Not only was the customer service at the front desk Tier 1, but the room size and cleanliness were amazing! I stayed 3 nights and was in my room twice when housekeeping came to clean. They made sure to come back after I left and cleaned my room. Most hotels don't do that. I have to give a shout-out to two of the front desk workers: Kiara and Marcia! Wow! Talk about 1st class service! They were so friendly and warm. You would have thought we knew each other before I checked in! Their connection to customers was outstanding! I can't speak highly enough about my exerience with the Crown Plaza Indianapolis Downtown. It was my first IHG experience ( I am a Marriott Bonvoy loyalist :) ), but this may have changed my hotel trajectory! lol. Thanks again!

Initially was given the a key that didn’t work along with multiple other guests checking in at that time. We also had to go back to the front desk and talk to multiple employees to finally get our breakfast vouchers which they initially said was not included.

I booked a train car, and when I got there I was told that the room I booked was not available, so they “upgraded” us to a different room. That room wasn’t bad, but it was certainly not an “upgrade.” I was asked later how things were, and I said I was disappointed with the room, since it wasn’t the one we booked. It seemed overpriced since it wasn’t the train car that I spent extra on. That person told me that I never booked a train car, and the one we were in was the one we had booked all along! I was told this by two different people, even though when we checked in, I didn’t say anything at all about and the person checking us in was the one who brought up the room change, so we obviously did, and that was what made me more mad than anything. Another employee that we talked to made it sound like it was a normal occurrence to have people book these special rooms and then not get them because they are oversold. Accommodations are fine, but their business practice needs some work.

When we were checking in there was a man later we were told he was homeless he walked up to the check in counter and said to my wife and i " cute kid it would be ashame if something happens to her" Then he was casting a spell on us. This scared my wife to the point she didn't want to stay. Neat property but i wouldn't stay again. The rooms were average out dated but seemed to be fairly clean.

The staff here are absolutely excellent! Very clean and attractive property. We stayed in one of the train car rooms and really enjoyed it. There is some construction nearby, but we never heard it in our room. I didn't have a chance to visit the restaurants on premise, but they seemed popular.
