I booked a 5 night stay at Motel 6 nr Indianapolis airport May 2025 for the Indy 500 Race 2026!! I arrived at the motel with my son and grandson who also booked their stay in May 2025. When I booked the stay on the website I received a confirmation it was $737. Firstly they cancelled my booking 3 weeks before my stay with no explanation but that was sorted with a couple of phone calls. However, when I checked in they wanted to charge me over $1800!!!!! I refused to pay as I had a confirmation the charge was $737. The room was awful. There was a hole in the wall where the bedroom door handle hit the wall, the curtain was hanging off the track, security lock/chain was removed, the shower light didn't work, a tray by the window to collect any water/condensation, desk was broken, bedside light not working, couldn't change channels on the TV, the sink was cracked and had no plug and the room was so dated it was like going back to the 80s in the UK. The front entrance glass door is smashed. They couldn't even be bothered to wipe the coffee stains from the downstairs serving unit from the morning when we returned in the evening. This particular Motel 6 is horrible and needs updating. One evening there was a row going on between a couple for over an hour across the landing and the staff did nothing despite the terrible language. Not a place to bring a young family!! The whole place has a weird smell. The carpets are so filthy and could do with a good clean and hoover or better still replaced. In fact I wiped my shoes on the way out!! One morning a staff member burst into my room without knocking first looking for a pillow a customer had left behind, what in MY room!!!! This is the most awful motel I have ever stayed in.!!!! It's not all bad, Peggy at reception was most helpful sorting out the cancellation.🙂 I would NOT recommend this Motel6. It is so obvious the owner and staff do not take pride in their motel. Other reviews from one year ago with the same complaint and still nothing is done. However, we stayed at Motel 6, Arlington Heights, Chicago and it was 100% better. I would recommend this Motel 6.

The second we got there the glass on the main entry door was shattered. The room had a horrible smell. We were there for a concert so EVERYTHING else was sold out. The toilet seat wasn’t even attached so it pinched us every time we used it. The drawer on the end table fell off when we tried to open it. Didn’t enjoy our stay at all

Only one parking space left due to being next to Holiday Inn. I requested a room on the first floor due to my husband’s heart condition but was given a room on the third floor. Room was fair. No lamp on table between the two beds. Amenities of soap and shampoo were poor quality. No hair dryer. Shower took a long time to warm up. Would not stay there again.
