The Alphotel Innsbruck has been my favorite hotel in the Tyrolean state capital for some time. For me as a public transport driver it's also a good location (10 minutes by bus to the main train station, the bus also goes directly to/from the airport - line F), you can eat very well in the restaurant, the rooms are okay. Above all, there are some rooms with small balconies and even an ashtray provided - here you are not discriminated against as a smoker.
The only thing that bothers me is that the hotel always has guests who stop off in Innsbruck on bus trips. During my last stay, it was apparently Italians who let their temper go wild at night. There's no need for that at 3 a.m. Here the hotel staff should perhaps ask the tour guides to be “quiet riders”...
Otherwise, as I said, only positive experiences.

Innsbruck is really a paradise-like Austrian town. The hotel is in a very good location. There is a small balcony and you can see the majestic mountains in the distance to the Congress. Take the cable car to the top of the Nordschleife. The cable car station designed by Zaha Hadid is absolutely amazing. You can ski on the mountain. It is great to park your car when you come back. I was fined 25 euros for half an hour overtime, but I wasted an hour trying to pay the fine. Austria 🇦🇹 is a bit of a trap in this regard, so be careful and the handling fee was 12 euros.

Not much to say when its a nice hotel and great overall stay with nice views... as expected. Parking was easy too. Happy to go back again!
