This hotel is nice, near the lake, the service staff is quite enthusiastic, the only drawback is that you need to book in advance to use their garage for free

We went here in March 2024, even though Tripadvisor keeps showing the date as February. This is the 3rd time I have had to do this Review. We stayed only one night here on our way to Dunedin. It was very clean and comfortable with plenty of room and a lovely bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. Easy parking right at the door and only a short drive into the city. There are eateries in walking distance.

Everything about this place was great; highly recommend. I rang to ask if we could check in early and they were totally fine with that; we managed to get in a couple of hours earlier than the normal check-in time, which was so good as we'd arrived in town early and we were tired and hungry. As soon as we walked into our motel unit we felt comfortable; it was clean, tidy and everything looked fresh - loved it. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Great stay!!

The room itself was ok, dated but clean. The welcome was non existant, the first words on arrival were how are you going to pay, not hello. An Asian lady on reception (think was owner) not welcoming or friendly at all! All other staff friendly though so I guess your experience depends on who you get on reception when you arrive. Would not go back. Not impressed!
Response from Property: Thanks for your feedback. The receptionist who was checked you in is our new front desk staff on training. So she was not very familiar with the check in process. I was with her and training her by that time, so I certainly found out this problem and pointed it out to her after you left, also make sure she will pay attention to it in the future. However, we were both very polite and friendly to you at the time of check you in. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Great service and accommodation. We were here for Christmas and New Year with our family. The room was extremely nice and clean. Daily room service provided with everything you needed. Staff were all very helpful and friendly, make us feel at home. We would definitely come back.

A nice kitchen with good equipment, and a clean bathroom with quality toiletries was appreciated. The main room itself was pleasant as was the bedroom. It was warm in Invercargill when we were there, and the heat was particularly noticeable in the bedroom. The staff were friendly, but some had little English so any conversation was limited.

I am fuming. I just phoned to try arranging accommodation and I’ve honestly never been spoken to so rudely on the phone before. I would highly recommend never staying or even calling this place. I phoned to ask if they had availability and she snapped at me saying "what date" and I then proceed to say and she said only 3 bedrooms left and I politely asked for the rate and it was far too much, so I declined and all she said was bye and hung up, didn’t offer a solution or an apology. I don’t know if this was the owner or a worker but I sure as hell wouldn’t want someone like that working for me, and if you were the owner, I would have thought you would care more about keeping your customers happy and encouraging them to come back and stay.

Absolutely not like you said "what date", I never every say "what date". The rate I offered was already a cooperate rate for direct booking with us. However, you don't want to take. So, I friendly said alright bye. I did the best I can do, if you think that was still far too much for you and you don't want to take that's fine. I don't know why I should do an apology for the rate that you don't want to take. I gave you option, but you don't accept, then I should do an apology? Before you judge people who you don't know, you should learn how to state the truth, not mislead others.

Great stay, will definitely come back！！ Nice and quite room. High standard of the cleaning and servicing. Good location to town center. Staff was very helpful to provide place to eat and visit. We will definitely come back.

We had a great stay!! The room was nice and warm when we arrived and super clean. Very quiet at night and can't hear any road noises. No restaurant on-site, but easy to drive to town with so many choices. The room also with a kitchenette and cooktop to make food yourself which is very convenience if you don't want to go outside to have a meal. The staff also recommended some delivery restaurants that you can just feet up in the room with a meal. Very nice room and service, we will highly recommend!! Thank you!!

We booked this facility for our coaches to stay in while attending a National event in Invercargill. The coaches were happy with the rooms, but the service was appalling. The lady on reception was very grumpy and extremely unhelpful. We wanted meals to be delivered for the coaches, that they could simply heat up after a long day of coaching, but she would not accept the delivery to reception! In addition her communication regarding the room rates was not clear, which resulted in us under-charging those who stayed in the rooms.
Response from Property: Hi there, thank you for your feedback. Regarding the meal deliver to the reception. It was after 3rd times the people came to reception and ask if the meal you guys ordered from outside been delivered? but we did not received, so we suggested it's better to inform the people to deliver the meal to your room directly than to the reception. During the event period, all our rooms rates were increased like other hotels and motels did, because the whole town was full. It was quoted very clearly on the quote at the very beginning. If you guys were not happy with the price, it was easy to not accept and we could easy to sale to someone else. However, you did not argue with the rate during the whole time, but want a refund after left. It was actually not the right way to do this. The booking was made 1 year before. It should be plenty of time for you to decline the booking if you think the price was unclearly, instead of argue after you leave.

This was one of the best place to stay in our whole trip. We were there for a swimming competition, the staff at reception was very nice and kind to offer us an early check in, which was really helpful for us to make it ready to the competition. The room was down the back of the Motel which is very quiet at night. The room was nice and super clean, high standard of daily room service provided during our stay. We would definitely come back.
