I stayed at this lovely hotel for three nights while taking my trip round Scotland, and what a great experience we had the food was amazing and the staff too, had such a great time talking to the young boy behind the bar telling us all about the different whiskies. all the team members are offciant and helpful and really take on the responsibility of making what this little gem is all about, i would 100% recommend the stay for anyone. the room we had was amazing and the bed so comfortable with a lock view

The accommodation is a loft on the top floor, newly renovated, I like it very much. Although it is small, it does not affect the accommodation at all. The small drawback is that luggage needs to be climbed up stairs, but fortunately it is not very high 😂.

We stayed at the Corriegour Lodge Hotel for 2 nights between the 9th - 11th of September. The Lodge is a wonderful old converted Hunting Lodge by Loch Lochy, which is between Loch Ness and Spean Bridge. The Lodge is around halfway down the Loch and is isolated from most local amenities, that may be a good thing for some people or it may be a bad thing, you will certainly have to drive for a good 15 - 20 minutes to get to the nearest town (Spean Bridge), but I'm assuming most people staying at the lodge will have transport so shouldn't be a problem. The owners are very nice people who do their upmost to ensure that your stay is the best it can be. Also to note that the Lodge does have its own private beach which you can use (we never did, but you can), however, the Lodge sits the other side of the A82 from the Loch, meaning, in order to use the beach you have to cross the relatively busy road. When looking at the pictures of the Lodge on Trip Advisor you could be easily mistaken for thinking that the Lodge sits right on the edge of the Loch, but that's not the case, something to bear in mind. The grounds of the Lodge itself are very nice with ample parking, complete with its own waterfall in the back garden. The room we had was Room 4 which had a nice view of Loch Lochy (see pictures), the room itself was a decent size, had its own small bathroom with toilet, sink and shower and was very clean. The bed was large and comfortable. We were aware of the prices of the restaurant for the evening meal and so decided not to eat at the lodge for our evening meal, instead choosing to eat at some other local restaurants which were very good. However, we did have breakfast every morning (as it was included in the price). You have to make your breakfast selection the night before which wasn't an issue for us, but for some people it may feel a bit limiting. The breakfast itself was very nice, every morning I had the full breakfast, Bacon, Egg, Lorne Sausage (which is like a square sausage, quite nice). The only thing I felt was that the breakfast was a bit dry, due to the lack of serving something like Baked Beans with the full breakfast, but, to be fair your getting a full Scottish Breakfast not an English one. The views out of the restaurant are stunning, looking out over Loch Lochy and the Great Glen. There are 2 rooms downstairs which are for exclusive use by the hotel guests, these are a wonderful sitting room with a log fire and a small whiskey bar which sells a variety of bottled beers, ciders and of course whiskeys. It's a nice place to have a drink, but just be aware that the prices are not cheap. The lodge itself is decorated in a very rustic old style which we actually really liked and think it makes the Lodge seem very warm and cosy, almost like stepping back in time, which is a good thing. This may not be to everyone's taste, if you are the sort of traveler who likes new and modern then this place is not for you. I personally enjoyed my

My family and I were walking the Great Glenn Way for the 1st time. We do, however, visit Scotland and specifically Fort William once a year. After our 3rd day of walking, where we took the high road, of course. We were running a bit late for check-in. We called Lindsey & and Manda, and they couldn't have been nicer. They were fine with us being late and even asked if we'd had dinner or had a booking for dinner at the local pub. I replied no, and they offered to book us in for 8 pm. This was going the extra mile for me. We ate at the Glenmorriston Arms, which was lovely. We then walked around the corner, and there was our B&B. We were greeted at the door by 2 sisters, Lindsey & and Manda, and they were so lovely and funny. We were welcomed into their home like they had known us for years. They also introduced us to their new little puppy who was gorgeous, and she went down a treat with my 2 boys. The rooms were clean and warm. Sat TV was available, and there was a decanter of whisky and 2 glasses in our room to have a tipple free of charge. We booked breakfast for 8am, and it was ready on the dot. This was the nicest breakfast we had had from all the B&Bs we stayed in on our 5-day 6 night walk, and the haggis was the best I'd ever had. They chatted with us for over an hour at breakfast telling is about the local wildlife and about the walk we were on. They were just fantastic and so lovely. If every B&B was like this, I'd be living in them, haha. I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you, Lindsey and Manda. You do a fantastic job and seem to enjoy what you do. The Abbey Is caped in all its history and glory located at the very southern part of the Loch Ness lake, in Fort Augusta’s. From the grounds my son (aged 6) and I admired the magnificent views down the lake which are quite literally breathtaking. We explored so much from here taking trips further up the lake, visiting the Loch Ness centre, Urquhart castle and even experienced exhilarating views at Great Glen Way. We loved returning to the comfortable apartment from our adventures, which is fully equipped for all the needs for resting, restoring and relaxing. We were very happy with what the place had to offer. A calm swim and sauna in a very historic swimming pool room. Followed by either a very small walk to restaurant near by, or even a take away fish and chips. We also rustled up some meals in the apartment. Then perhaps a game of pool or snooker on the full sized snooker table. Even chess on a normal size or a very large board game. We had such a wonderful experience on our stay.

A stay at the glengarry castle hotel is an experience. This isn’t holiday inn or Sofitel- pictures here mean little. This is a small hotel run by the same family for around 70 years. You meet them at check in, at breakfast at evening meal. The food is excellent- after a long day exploring , to sit down in the dining room and be served excellent food and wine by the friendly staff. The out in the gardens to finish the wine by the loch ( weather permitting). I. The grounds there is a mooring on the loch, a river, a waterfall a castle, sheep angus cattle and lots of quiet. The web site is disappointing- pictures can’t do it justice, and anyway nearly all guests are returning customers- that says it all. Will be back
