Ios Grand Pool Suites

Magnificent "Upscale" part of the Ios Palace hotel, with separate entrance and reception. We had a 2 bedroom suite with a terrace and an incredible private infinity pool overlooking the sea. Very good bedding and attentive staff. The quality of service can nevertheless be improved (random restocking of the minibar in particular) and room cleaning is very late every day. This remains a place to recommend with your eyes closed (even if it costs an arm and a leg).

I gave the overall rating 4 dots but there are some clarifications to make: location (i.e. room) certainly deserves a 5! Really beautiful. The swimming pool is large and deep, the terrace is the most amazing part, really worth experiencing. The room was also really beautiful, spacious and equipped with every comfort. Unfortunately for cleanliness I would give a 2 and I would advise the hotel to be more scrupulous! Room not cleaned properly: sink left with toothpaste marks inside and floor around the sink sometimes not even cleaned. The floor of the terrace outside was not cleaned and was left full of footprints left by shoes (we had to leave a note in the room on the second day to ask for it to be cleaned). They didn't even bring back the shower gel and we had to ask for it at reception in the evening because we had run out of it. Furthermore, on the first day we returned to the room in the afternoon after leaving it for 4 hours and the room had not been cleaned (complaining to reception we had to leave for 1 hour so they could clean it). The room service regarding the breakfast food was really excellent, however for lunch the food was nothing special (picagna not up to par and really poor Greek salad). The gym is small and lacks basic equipment (such as various weights). Overall the room is worth the stay and justifies the price, but the rest of the services are not adequate for a hotel of this level.
