Kingston Hotel 15 @ Tower Regency, Ipoh

Hotel internet wifi unstable & keep on dropping. Air conditioning need to keep at 10 Celsius to maintain a good airflow.

I can understand Renovation going on which is good… to enhanced features & amenities. Room was great…huge & so is bathroom. No hangers for wardrobe .requested & acknowledged..but no results. Can live with that. Not happy for guests safety.Table was broken & fell missing my foot(imagine if child). Ceramic cup chipped!!Does hotel management knows of liabilities  of Innkeepers Act?

There were no towels provided in the room upon check-in. I called the front desk, and they said they would send them over. I had to call five times over the span of one hour before the towels were finally delivered. Because i wait for too long I even offered to collect them myself from the front desk, but they said, "Never mind, we’ll send it to you now." The housekeeping staff (Bangladeshi) were unprofessional. The toilet was seriously dirty — it looked like they just wiped it dry without actually cleaning it. When I lifted the toilet seat cover, the area underneath was absolutely disgusting. The TV remote didn’t even match the brand of the TV, making it impossible to use properly. Malaysian said "asal boleh / better than nothing" Hotel management needs to take this seriously, especially with their housekeeping team. only stay for 1 night. Price was ok. The room itself was okay and quite spacious, but they failed to provide even the most basic necessities for guests.

What a nasty experience!!!! I didn't have much expectations when I arrived at the front desk to check-in but I was given room 818 which had a broken bed and shower area with poor drainage that caused flooding of the bathroom floor!! We contact the front desk and 3 guys from the house keeping came up to check. Then went out said that they will fix it later. They came back and check the bed again and said they will change the bed. 1 hour past and its already 12.15am, no sign of them then rang the front desk again. What a shock, the front desk tried to look for them but no sign of them. MIA!!! Then Mr Shamiel moved us to room 815. What a shock I had when I went into the bathroom to find the toilet covered in faeces!! The front desk man, Shamiel who was very patient and helpful then offered me another room which is 801.Finally had the semblance of a decent room. Decent bed, checked; toilet still dirty and stained but better than the 805.. Finally, a habitable room, I thought although I still had to water down the stained toilet!! I was just too tired to move again. Unless conditions improve this is one place to avoid. I hope the management reads this and improves the standard of housekeeping!!

However, if you value well-maintained facilities, modern interiors, smoother logistics (like reception and parking), or a diverse breakfast spread, you might encounter some disappointing elements here.

The hotel is refurbished. Not a new one. It's quite outdated and worn out. Short stay is still barely worth it.
