Riverside Lodge Hotel

Our stay was amazing the room was lovely and cosy. The house wine we bought was awful and I missed black pudding at breakfast (normal Scottish fair) would thoroughly recommend staying again.

Very disappointing experience but this seems to be the common theme We had a problem and were told one thing by Boyd on reception - this was not honoured and not only has he denied saying this but we have been given 3 other excuses as to why they will not honour what was said Customer service is terrible but Claire does not seen to care about this No compromise or anything offered

My recent experience at Riverside Lodge Hotel left me deeply disappointed and dissatisfied with the integrity and transparency of their Housekeeping Department. On the morning of April 13th, 2024, my husband and I checked out of the hotel, only to realize shortly after leaving that we had left a wallet in our room. Despite contacting the hotel immediately and requesting assistance from a relative still on-site, the housekeeping staff denied finding the wallet, despite thorough searches under the bed. After returning to the hotel and personally inspecting the room, the wallet was eventually found by the housekeeping staff, but not without significant discrepancies in its contents, indicating tampering. This lack of transparency and apparent mishandling of the situation by the housekeeping department left me deeply disturbed. Furthermore, the excuses provided by the hotel staff throughout the ordeal were inadequate and only served to exacerbate the situation. Despite the eventual recovery of the wallet, the damage to my perception of the establishment was irreversible. I have formally lodged a complaint and requested a thorough investigation into this matter. I expect appropriate action to be taken to prevent similar occurrences in the future. Additionally, I have requested that the head of operations be fully briefed on this incident and held accountable for the lapses in service. Overall, my experience at Riverside Lodge Hotel was marred by dishonesty and a lack of integrity, and I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment to others.

Disappointed that there seems to be no ability to charge to your room, despite them holding card details. Breakfast terrible, poor quality products, poor choice and tea/coffee out of large flasks. Evening food average. Room was huge but outdated, especially the bathroom. Long walk to hotel room along corridors and terrible views out of windows. Good public areas.

Had an overnight DBB stay with friends. Very pleasant and helpful at reception. Rooms on second floor bit of a walk, the room was nice, comfortable, tea coffee, biscuits although our friends room no biscuits, but minor thing. The dinner deal was excellent large portions and delicious, staff were excellent, buffet breakfast lots of choice very good quality although no beans or black pudding but again minor issue, can highly recommend staying at this hotel, we will certainly return. Thanks all staff a credit to the hotel .

Lovely hotel, friendly attentive staff and excellent food. Booked an overnight stay for our anniversary. The room was lovely and spacious and was perfect. Would definitely recommend and we will book again in future and may even pop for lunch soon. 10/10

It was just a real nice atmosphere

Stayed for two nights as meeting up with friends. Great location, central to so many golf courses, dining, shopping and great walks. Staff at hotel very friendly, accommodating and evening menu great choices/varieties.
