Dreams Lanzarote Playa Dorada Resort & Spa

Everything very good except the quality of the restaurants, which is quite poor. Preferred club service is not worthy (actually the zones without this VIP service are more calm and exclusive).

First visit to Lanzorote and so pleased we opted to stay at Dreams Resort & Spa. From the moment we arrived until the time we left, staff were helpful, friendly and polite. Rooms spacious, modern and bright. Restaurants were fabulous with food to suit all tastes..would certainly recommend trying them all. Entertainment varied and choice of drinks plentiful. Never needed to rush for sun loungers as they were always available throughout the day. Fantastic stroll to the Marina and shopping area and some nice pubs and restaurants if you wanted to eat out at all. Would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting good service, great food and a comfy bed!

Just returned from dreams.Only one fault.Hotel gives you big tv but only has sky news and german channels. Hotel is in a great location.Close to beach and town.Staff are fantastic in every area.Food was lovely and lots of choice.Hubby won ****** night and prize was a day in the prefered club which was also lovely. Cannot fault the hotel or jet 2. Would return.Thanks for a great holiday.

Hotel has an ideal location, it’s immaculate and the staff can’t do any more for you, very obliging and great service. Think the buffet restaurant food is the only thing that lets the full hotel down but the other restaurants are well worth visiting

Great experience. Very accommodating. Good balance across all areas. Very clean. The pool exercises were excellent and very well delivered.

We had a lovely stay as a preferred club guest. Beautiful views overlooking the sea (worth an ocean view for this reason), super clean, very friendly and attentive staff plus great quality food. A nice location in between playa Blanca and Marina rubicon, which was particularly beautiful. Would highly recommend going preferred club. Perks include 1 hour spa visit, 1 a la carte meal, 2 exclusive pools (sea legs particularly nice) and most of all, the preferred lounge where you could access snacks most of the day. As a half board booking, this was more than enough for us to have as lunch as it included sandwiches, crisps, desserts and drinks. An excellent hotel, would have given 5 stars but it didn’t quite have the touches of luxury that other 5 stars often have. Would definitely return and highly recommend!

We booked this hotel to celebrate my 70th Birthday and the way it was described, it fitted our needs to have a special time. At the cost of £5600 we went all in including the Preferred Guest Option. Including the use of 6 restaurants, Adults only swimming pools with and one with a swim up pool bar. What you read is not what you get. Firstly The World Cafe is the one all inclusive or half board guests use Preferred guests can also use and this a buffet style restaurant which to be honest is pretty average with the main complaint was the food unless cooked to order was always just warm. The other restaurants were for preferred guests but other clients could use and receive 20% discount off their bill. In reality there is only one restaurant The Sabor which offered restaurant quality food, the others offered just Fast Food presented nicely on a plate. Not every restaurant was open every night. Preferred guests also have upgraded rooms with free mini bar and snacks which is restocked every day. Sounds great but in reality you get a fridge with 2 bottles of coke 1 bottle of Lager 1 bottle of cider 2 bottles of water and 2 bottles of fruit juice, and 1 bag of crisps. Also you can have cocktails at the bar with no cost, At a cost of nearly a £1000 for 2 for a 2 week stay I would say unless you have a drink problem Leave the PREFERRED GUEST OPTION well alone. Entertainment at this hotel consisted of every evening from 21.30 to 22.30 and not a minute over some pretty mediocre acts ranging from opera to acrobats to dancers to tribute acts. And try to order a drink at the bar well that’s another story. Instead of having a wristband you have to give your room number every time then they order your drink on a tablet which then gets transferred to a printer then if you are lucky your drink arrives some 10 to 15 minutes later. It got to the point we went out and walked along to Playa Blanca and had a relaxing drink and in fact ate out several times because we weren’t bothered if we missed a meal at the hotel. The only positive thing I would say is the location of this hotel which was great, straight out the gate turn right and it’s a pleasant walk to Playa Blanca turn left and it’s a pleasant walk to the Rubicón Marina. To give a comparison 2 months earlier we stopped at the RIU PARAISO in Puerto del Carmen at a cost of some £2000 less and we had a ball and we both agreed was a much better hotel with much better food and much better service. A lesson learnt we arrived and believed for the money we paid we expected a five star experience. We left 2 weeks later and felt truly disappointed.
