Cormorant Beach House

It’s right on the beach with easy access to restaurants and shops. We stayed in an ocean view room (“Asteral”) on the second floor with balcony that had a terrific view of the coastline. The bedroom was a little cramped because of the king-sized bed but overall was a comfortable room. Falling asleep to the sound of the breaking waves was fantastic. Breakfast comes with the room and was quite good, with an assortment of hot dishes, fruit, juice, and eggs made to order on request. Daily sea lion visitors who like to hang out at the beach entrance to the hotel (and would likely sleep in the foyer if they could get past the glass doors!). The staff were friendly and helpful in all sorts of ways. The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the ferry terminal. I highly recommend the Cormorant Beach House and would definitely stay here again should I return to Isabela.

Loved our time at the Comorant. Listening to and having the cool breeze from the ocean and being able to walk out on to the beach was amazing. The staff were so helpful, breakfast was delicious, and the bed was amazing. We had a sea lion sleeping on a beach chair outside of our balcony almost the entire trip which brought us so much joy and had us remembering how special Isabella and the Galapagos are the entire trip.

Perfect location on a beautiful beachfront. Can almost touch the Pacific from your room. Spotlessly clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend! Bonus: Panchito the small-ish sea lion arrives at daybreak to sleep on a lounge chair till dusk! Relaxing next to him whilst reading a book is a classic memory.

We understand it is the Galapagos and we came to see wildlife, but we didn’t expect a resident gecko in our room. He was tiny, but unexpected. We also had at least 30 ants in the room over the course of the stay. As for amenities, they had a coffee house/bar upstairs where we ate breakfast and the ocean right in front of you, but other than that amenities were limited. We enjoyed the stay despite the extra guests. You can’t beat the view!

What a beautiful relaxing place to stay at right on the beach. Very clean. Great service. Walking distance to good restaurants. Sea lions on the beach. Highly recommend if you want a beach house experience.

Open air hotel with third floor bar and breakfast area with exceptional view - saw flying flamingos! Staff very friendly. Great breakfast. AC did not work in one room we were staying in and fortunately another room was open so got a free upgrade to ocean front!!

When it comes to ocean side rooms, there is nothing like this hotel to deliver that experience. If we are ever fortunate to visit Isabela again, we certainly will book here again.
