The Good: Very good buffet open most of the day; excellent soups, Mexican style foods, lots of salads, fruit, desserts. Great beach, probably the best around. If you’re a beach fan this is a great place. Lots of free beach chairs. Bikes and other beach lounging available. Nice pool with swim up bar. Very friendly and helpful staff. Coffee and snack bar always open; minibar complimentary. Free parking in front of hotel. Apparently very crime free area. Many touristy shops within walking distance of the hotel.
The Other: A/C units easy to control but somewhat noisy; only one English language news channel (Bloomberg). To refill minibar requires request to front desk. Only one bar; limited wine selection. Only one restaurant; somewhat limited menu; requires reservation day ahead. They ask you to sit through a 2 hour sales pitch for their ‘membership’, which is a plan to pay cash upfront for discounted future visits and extra perks. If you plan to visit often this may be beneficial. Even if you don’t buy, they give you some options for a freebee. They encourage taking the passenger ferry from Cancun and a taxi to the hotel. Golf carts can be rented for $100 per day. Another option is a rental car transported on a cargo ferry for $80 roundtrip.

Mia never disappoints! We returned to Mia for a week with our adult kiddos this time and they fell in love with the resort. 2 picky eaters and a food glutton…my kids always found something they liked to eat. Jerry in the buffet was super attentive and kind. We all looked forward to his smiling face every time we walked in the door. And speaking of smiling faces…Roberto at The Ceviccheria. Love him! Always the biggest smile and best service! Perle at The Blue Moon Bar…such a treasure! Cesar, Eric & Moises, the concierge team, were amazing every time we spoke with them! Thank you Mia! We’ll be back!

Very nice place to stay. Excellent service and location is amazing. You have to get reservations for Las Marias restaurant. Manuel our server was amazing and all the food prepared by chef Edgar and captain Yahir was delicious. Top notch, highly recommend.

El restaurante "Las Marias" de lo mejor gracias Edgar, Rogelio y Guillermo por la velada tan agradable. La playa y la atencion del personal muy buena. Claro que regreso. Si quieres probar un pedacito de cielo, este es el lugar indicado . P.D. la piscina del Rey de diez!
