Pros: Close to downtown, can walk most everywhere. The private beach is nice. Bartenders worked hard but were understaffed. Lunch fish and chips and club sandwich were good at the beach club snack bar.
Cons: Bug infestation in my room, notified guest services about it but nothing was offered to remedy the situation (switching rooms, etc.). The restaurant selection is meager, and the menus have very little variety. A la carte dining at Sabor was awful. Took nearly 3 hours to eat, and the ribeye steak was less than 1/4" thick. It couldn't have had been more than 4 ounces, smaller than a breakfast pork chop. Other guests in my group ordered different items and pretty much all of them were below average to terrible. On a 6-day stay we only ate dinner at Sabor once, and chose to eat out in downtown all the other nights, even though we all paid the all-inclusive price to include meals. There are almost no activities at the hotel at all. There's a pool with a 1- or 2-piece music act that plays in the afternoon, but that's pretty much it. Outside of the restaurants, the entire hotel is dark around deserted around 7:00 PM.
Overall my group and myself were disappointed with the entire experience.
