We loved staying at the RIU Latino. This is the second RIU property we’ve stayed at and we loved both. They are newer and always super clean. We enjoy a more modern/updated and clean property.
The staff are all working hard and courteous.
There are lots of options for my husband that has celiacs and cannot have gluten. Everything is labeled so he can easily see what food he can have.
We will stay at more RIU in the future!

Food is mediocre. Very clean resort. Unfortunately the parties are at different Riu resorts and require a shuttle ride.

The staff were very nice and accommodating. We stayed in the oceanview room, cleaning times were erratic throughout the day. The pillows were terrible, highly suggest better pillows. The buffet was impressive/environment, furniture, food, selection, and quality of food. Would have preferred a better seafood selection. Steakhouse, ordered a Ribeye dinner, was fatty and should have better sides for a steak dinner. I went to the Italian restaurant and ordered the Beef Fillet w/ gorganzalla sauce, I was so disappointed with the steakhouse, and that was amazing! The Italian restaurant had a fabulous Italian salad bar, you name it they had it! Desserts were very good. The drinks were also very good. The outdoor grill was handy and outdoor bar service wonderful. Plenty of room outdoors to find a lounge chair or a beach chair. Quality drink service on the beach. Overall service impeccable. My major complaint lies with ******* and my ground transportation, which never happened though my booking included it. The resort explained to me there was nothing they could do. I had to call ******* and I was unable to reach them -no help, no concern. We landed much later than expected due to storms, only transportation available cost me $175. Took Uber on return home, $43. The resort souvenir shop is very expensive. Better off getting your souvenirs at the airport on your way home. Nice selections. My first couples only resort traveling with my daughter. I would go back in a heartbeat!

This place is AMAZING! If you like a party atmosphere, this is what you’re looking for! The water slides are so much fun (just get ready for a workout climbing those stairs) and the staff is great! Using the app to get more towels, pillows, blankets was so nice and easy! The 2 swim up bars were perfect! The beds are a little firm, but I like firm so that was good for me!

There was construction happening but it was not so close that it was loud or noisy. Beach area connected to the resort only had 4 umbrellas and it was first come first serve. With so many beach chairs and umbrella stands on the beach we should be able to request an umbrella for the sun and sand. Besides that it was a great experience, property upkeep was great, pool was fun, the spa was great to experience and the masseuses were amazing and nice and provided a detox drink after the massage. It was an amazing experience.
