Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina

We just returned from spending three nights at the Postcard Inn for a friend's wedding. There were so many things wrong with the property, I'll list them in bullet points: - The front desk staff, although nice enough, were clueless. When we asked them a basic question about why we needed to check out after two nights and check back in for our 3rd night, they literally stared at me with no response. It was straight out of a SNL skit. When I checked out for after the 2nd night, I had to resubmit the registration forms again and give them my credit card. Guess what, my wallet was in my safe. I got the deer in the head lights stare again when I asked how was I going to produce my cc when I was now locked out of my room...fortunately I had my phone and used Apple Pay...I'm not making this up. - The hallways were filthy and full of trash, mustard packets, toilet paper, sand, etc. They weren't cleaned up for two days. I can't believe one employee didn't pick up the trash as they walked by. The hotel grounds and common areas were fairly clean. - Our room needed a renovation and thorough cleaning. The flooring was cracked, the ceilings needed painting, the water pressure and temperature vacillated anytime a neighboring room flushed their toilet. Our room wasn't cleaned for the first two days. The room smelled like mildewed, sour towels. We didn't have a top sheet for those days either, until I asked. None of the housekeeping staff spoke English. It was difficult to even ask for a towel of tissue...I finally found some on a cart. - Be warned, and not the hotel's fault: the sargassum seaweed bloom is for real. The beach is covered in it and the water is full of it near shore. - Service note, our friends hosted 76 people at their wedding. I estimate they were responsible for ~$80,000 - $100,000 of revenue for the hotel. When they asked for a late check-out on Monday so they could say goodbye to friends, they were denied. Finally they were given a one-hour delayed check-out....very generous of the hotel. - We were charged a $40 per day resort fee.....hmmm, this is a rip off. - The service at the Tiki Bar was slow and unfriendly. The pool bar service was better. - Ciao Hound, I'll write a separate review, but beware, service is sloooow and the servers untrained, food is mediocre at best. To sum it up, I felt like I was back in Ft. Lauderdale on college spring break at a seedy hotel...yes, I'm dating myself.

The place is falling apart for one !!! we have went several years in a row but they REALLY don’t care about there GUEST & my husband had gotten Covid & we had to cancel our trip to Key West & on our way through we ALWAYS make it a point to stay one or 2 nights with them at Post Card & least if not stop by for a drink BUT now it’s gonna be anther place because with this bing said when I talked to the front desk they WOULD NOT REFUND ME my money they gave me a 35$ & that’s so wrong BE AWARE I even asked to be rescheduled for next year they said nope

This inn is a marketing ripoff! The $3,000/week cottage we stayed in only had a loveseat, coffee table and a bed! Nothing like the photos! They need to bring in a GM and hospitality staff that can make the guests feel special. We had to request housekeeping 3 out of 6 days there, including pest control spraying for ants and bugs. The shower leaked into the wall and around the toilet every time we used it. Guest service is not important to the employees! Obviously all your website marketing and photos are BS! I cannot say anything real positive about spending my honeymoon with my wife at your Inn!

LOTS OF THINGS TO DO. In an afternoon we saw the beach, tiki bar, and kayaked in the key. Awesome service super friendly people. Room was small but perfect for a one-night. Good communication. Plenty of parking.

Oh my Lord. Our room was a beach front with patio. Exactly what we got. We could walk out of the room and on to a small but very quiet beach. Literally to ourselves. The room was huge, a very large, comfortable bed tv and fridge. Bathroom room was large and the shower was big enough for two . We had two chairs and loungers on the patio, nice to sit and watch the guys fishing in the morning. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay very relaxing.

Everyone is so friendly. The rooms are top notch clean. There is every thing you need right here. Don’t have to leave the resort if you don’t want too. The views here are amazing. We will definitely be back!

You have always busy your hotel and it’s one of the most great amazing place to stay human friendly excellent staff excellent accommodations. Excellent overall you deserve more than five stars he should be 10. You will always have me as a client. I will always come here until the day I close my eyes excellent excellent excellent thank you for always being there for us for the need a great place to stay to relax, and to just unwinding mine.

The hotel lobby is inviting. Sherri helped with the checking in. They gave us welcome drinks. It was a rum punch, which was great! The property has various restaurants. The pool side bar was great. Great drinks and great food. The young man there was great. His name is Pierre. Super nice and super helpful. Pls tell him thank you from us.The beach was great, to swin and sandy beach. The rooms are good. I would have wished for a better view and a room with a terrace, but all in all, it was very good. Definitely will visit again. Close to many good restaurants and 2 hours from Key West. A complimentary shuttle bus for nearby places. I give it 3.5. Can't wait to visit again.

I was very disappointed as my last visit was great. I was in a dirty room, with broken down furniture, a leaking fridge and the bed reaked of bleach. On my second night, I kept smelling a skunk smell and finally had to go to the front desk to get some odor repellent. ( the night clerk was the nicest of all staff). Unless you were wearing a bikini- don't bother going to the restaurant, you will not be served. I was not the only one who had to leave. Basically ignored the next day, when I attempted to get a beverage inside the lobby. The staff at the desk were only concerned about getting the credit care. The smaller, older hotels along Gulf drive are better maintained. As I had a parking lot room, with a 1/2 foot step to get in, I noticed the same garbage all ove the parking lot for three days. Don't beleve the pics on the website, it doesn't look like that anymore. There are so many better places I could have stayed for the price!
