We stayed in a 2 bedroom/2 bath unit 2 adults and 2 kids with the intent to spend most of our time visiting Yellowstone National Park and The Grand Tetons. We travel a lot as a family and trade our timeshare quite often to different places around the country. The good- The 2 bedroom layout was great for the 4 of us, and the unit was clean. The clubhouse/pool/spa is brand new, the kids enjoyed swimming while the adults enjoyed our time in the hot tub after a day in the parks. The kitchen was nice, and sufficiently stocked with whatever we needed. We normally cook breakfast beore we leave every morning. The location is great, but remote from most amenities around the resort itself. A short 20 minute drive to West Yellowstone which is a tourist town and very close to the west entrance of Yellowstone has many restaurants, shops, and touristy things. The not so great: The unit was very dated, the furniture was very dirty and uncomfortable, the chair in our unit was broken, and the beds were especially terrible. The units do not have AC, we stayed in the middle of July, and it was hot. They provided us with a couple box fans, which helped. It does cool off quite nicely at night, so we would put the fans in an open window for a bit to cool the bedrooms a bit. There isn't a decent grocery store for miles. There is a convenience store within walking distance of the resort, which carries almost everything you would need, but the Timbers isn't the only resort nearby, so the shelves were very bare, it was very expensive, and there was a limit of 1 on things like water and eggs. We found the same issue at the only grocery store in West Yellowstone as well. Had we known this, I would have brought more food from home.
