The hotel sits facing the Black and Red Cuillens and the old Bridge and miles of moorland and river. Just to stand outside would be appealing enough but the lure of the smell of food enticed us in. Staff were very friendly and approachable and tolerable of the amount of tourists wandering in looking for conveniences - but I betcha the majority of them Stop and eat too! Great selection of drinks behind the bar - and the menu was Delish! We had a range - fish and chips, haggis, burger and I went for the sea food salad. Wow. What a plateful! And all gone too! Nothing left from any of us! Thank you so much! We had a much needed refresh and rest here!

Well the hotel is an oldie but still with lots of life left. It is showing signs of its age but that said we had a great experience due to the amazing staff. We understand that it recently changed ownership, but the new staff there (Mark, Teagan and Reese) were super attentive and felt more like friends by the time we left. It made a great stopping off point for touring around Skye. Be sure to hit the Seumas bar and explore an amazing whisky experience under the tutelage of “Whisky Dave”. This guy knows just about everything there is to know about whisky and is happy to help you pick their perfect wee dram.

They had the temerity to charge £12 for the worst cullen skink that I have ever tasted. It was watery, not creamy. It was tasteless, no leeks, a minimal amount of smoked haddock and masses of diced half-cooked potatoes. It is food and pricing like this that will put visitors off coming to Scotland. Avoid this place.

We stayed here for 2 nights recently with our 2 dogs. We could not praise the hotel more. Every member for staff was so helpful and friendly and really made our stay amazing. We enjoyed a really lovely meal in the bar as we could sit with our dogs and eat in there. Local beers, lovely wine and amazing chat. Would highly recommend and we will definitely return!

We stayed at Sligachan hotel for 3 nights with our family and friends to celebrate our wedding. It was absolutely fantastic and the brilliant team of staff went above and beyond for us. The food was tremendous and all our guests commented to us that it was some of the best wedding food they had ever had! The rooms are beautiful and clean, the views are second to none in every direction. The bar is well stocked with an incredible array of whisky! We have stayed prior to this and will be back again, best hotel on Skye!

What a fabulous restaurant. Buzzing atmosphere very much like an apres ski vibe. The staff today were so helpful even though they were very busy. The manager also had a minute to have banter with us. Whilst we only had coffee and desserts the food was superb! Quick word about the loos too - immaculate Clearly a well run restaurant with highly motivated staff. Well to you all.

We had an amazing time at the Sligachan hotel, we spent 3 nights there 22nd-25th March. On arrival we were greeted by the wonderful John (manager) and the equally lovely Antonio. They were so welcoming and fully explained dinner breakfast ect and offered to bring our luggage in after a long drive from Ayr. We were shown to our room which was lovely, with a kingside bed modern decor and really modern bathroom all exceptionally clean and so cosy they had the heating on full for us arriving. The food was great we were told about the pub bar also which had just re opened we chose to eat there on our first and last night where the fabulous Cassie greeted us, the staff in here could not be any nicer and true testament to the new manager I’m sorry I didn’t get his name but the feel of hard work and family among the team was picked up immediately. Where these ppl get one star reviews for this place is beyond me! These guys work hard 24/7 all season and cannot do enough for you. The food albeit yes it’s more expensive which we expected was absolutely on point. Breakfast was a treat every morning. I cannot recommend this place enough.

We had an amazing stay at the Sligachan hotel on Skye! We had our 6 month old baby and all the staff were so friendly and accommodating and helpful. The manager John was especially great! The food was delicious though it was on the more expensive side. Breakfast was included however and the full Scottish was fantastic! The location is great too! Only 15 minutes to Portree and it's right on the highway. The Fairy Pools are also very close. Highly recommend staying here if you are planning a visit to the Isle of Skye!

Stopped in for dinner and we were robbed. Paid £16 for a beetroot salmon starter that was two pieces of small packet smoked salmon thrown onto a plate. We then both asked for the ribeye steaks as a main but were told that the steaks were tenderloin and would cost £10 more. We both asked for medium and both steaks came out well done and ruined. We were offered no apology or explanation to why the food was so bad. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, abysmal.
