I stayed here for three days, and the transportation is convenient near the hotel. The hotel is opposite Ryde Quay and is very easy to find. Moreover, the bus stop is diagonally opposite the hotel, and the transportation is convenient. The hotel's breakfast is great, but the staff who clean the room are very unhygienic. They put the cups used by the first-hand guests on the table for the second-hand guests.

Very good service from the friendly staff in a lovely characterful building. Hotel clean but a little tired overall, however the central position more than made up for it. Excellent views at breakfast and dinner over the water. Parking a short walk away.

This hotel is very tired and needs a total refurbishment. We were a couple in our early 70’s but felt we were in a home for the elderly. Whilst we appreciate people on coach trips they seemed to take priority over other guests. What was really annoying was coming into the hotel at 10.25 pm to find that the bar was closed. Would definitely not recommend this hotel.

I rated the experience 4 out of 5 overall, the staff would get 5, very polite and helpful, it's not a new hotel clearly, our shower room was recently refurbished, the bed was comfy and it was quiet, had a sea view room which delivered on everything we wanted on our break, could watch the hovercraft coming in and out, see the spinnaker tower lit up at night, 5 minutes walk from the hover terminal, good breakfast, if you bring a car large council car park over the way, next to train and bus station for getting around the island. We went to Osborne House, The Needles and enjoyed travelling the island by bus, thanks for a great stay. There are loads of pubs and good choice of restaurants in easy walking distance

My wife & I visited the Royal Esplanade Hotel for a Sunday roast, we travelled on the hovercraft from Portsmouth, which entitled us to a small discount. The nut roast I had was fantastic, one of the best I have had in many years, followed by a roulade. The meal was charged by the number of courses we had rather than individually priced. The service we received was very good, the waitress was very attentive without being overbearing.

We always go to the Ryde Esplanade Hotel and have never been disappointed. The staff are very helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. A good choice of hot and cold breakfast is available. The location is perfect for transport if you don't have a car and there are plenty of eating places and shops within walking distance. Looking forward to booking again next year.

Staff were so accommodating and polite. Tracy was a super star! My mum’s mobility is not too good at the moment, Tracy made sure that my mum had everything that she needed. Rooms were very clean and the beds were so comfortable. We as a family will definitely return to this hotel.
