InterContinental Istanbul

This hotel is a real gem! From the moment you arrive, you feel taken care of: we were greeted with a smile at reception. The room is stylish, modern, with thoughtful details: a bathrobe, slippers, and a good selection of toiletries in the bathroom. The view from the window was particularly delightful. Breakfast is different every day, and everything is fresh and delicious. A special thanks to Viktoria and Polina. The staff are polite and attentive. Thank you!

The hotel seemed decent at first glance, but the price is significantly inflated. Our room was on the 14th floor, thanks to the reception. Upon entering, we found a broken mug and glass, which were only replaced on the third day. The staff tries very hard, to the point where it feels overbearing, almost like you're being watched. The bed was uncomfortable because the mattress was old and saggy, with two thick, mismatched mattress toppers piled on top, making it feel like sleeping on lumps. The carpet in the room was dirty, and the windows were filthy. The hygiene product bottles were old, with worn-off labels, indicating they're not replaced but simply refilled. This is unappealing, and it's unclear what they're refilling them with. The location is convenient. The staff is friendly, but getting information about where things are, like the cafe, pool, and sauna opening hours, was difficult. Breakfast for all 8 days was monotonous and very sparse. Common areas, however, were clean throughout.

The room was spacious and the location was great, and the hotel facilities were decent, just a bit dated. The breakfast spread was good, but it was too crowded. The front desk service was mediocre, leading to some communication issues, but Ctrip quickly intervened and resolved them.

Some of the staff were very incompetent and rude. The breakfast was delicious, but the room was so old that the drain was clogged, so I had to move to another room. And in the new room, the conditioner wasn't refilled ^^ This stay made me question the Intercontinental brand itself.

Aside from the slightly dated facilities, this hotel is really great! The location is excellent, it's clean and tidy, and the rooftop dining and sightseeing are fantastic. Highly recommend!

Great location, but the lack of hot breakfast was a major drawback. There was a minor issue during my stay, which the Trip.com customer service team kindly helped resolve. However, I'm still wondering why my deposit wasn't refunded after check-out. My credit card statement shows a direct charge instead.
