Renaissance Istanbul Polat Bosphorus Hotel Reviews

I chose a hotel near the airport metro station based on reviews. But either the reviews are outdated or inaccurate. So, first things first. The hotel is located about 600 meters from the Gaytereppe metro station, but the walk from there is about 2.5 km, assuming you take the right turn. The Fulya metro station is closer, but it's on a different line and requires transfers. The hotel itself is in good condition, and the staff is attentive to cleanliness. However, if you're used to firm beds, I recommend turning the mattress upside down. Because the springs at the head of the bed had sagged to the point of being soft, we only got a good night's sleep with our feet facing the headboard. The sea view from the rooms overlooks a construction site. The view from the restaurant at the top of the hotel is good. The prices there are also high, though. However, breakfast is served in a different restaurant downstairs. The selection doesn't change, so by the third day, we were already tired of it. But the most distracting sight was the sight of other guests' bandaged heads. Apparently, the hotel was chosen as a base for a hair transplant company, and breakfast felt like a hospital.
