Located in old city next to spice market. The cars cant come to the front of the hotel, keep that in mind if you have alot of luggage, twas inconvenient. Loud noise from the stalls downstairs and the mosques. No wall port that you can just plug your usb in. Bring an adapter. Warm water would shoot our a flash of cold every minute or so. No toothbrush/comb/cap. One very slow elevator. Hotel was never responsive to our inquiries prior to arrival. In my humble opinion, definitely not worth it for the price.

The terrace is great for photos with beautiful views. The hotel breakfast was also excellent, making for a pretty good experience overall. The location is super convenient for old town attractions, most of which are within walking distance. My only minor complaint is that the room was a bit small.

This was one of the most upsetting experience. Firstly, the hotel was located at a rough area which feels unsafe at night (very dark alleys, with rubbish around the street). At night, you could hear siren sounds when sleeping. Nonetheless, the interior of the hotel was okay. However, we encounter terrible situation with the toilet in our room. The first night, the showerhead broke and fell onto me, hurting my head. This was reflected with the reception, but no compensation was made. Then on the second night, the shower gel glass bottle broke off the rack, because the cleaner did not lock it tight after refilling. The glasses shattered all across the shower area. At this rate everything that happened was danger to our safety. We don’t want any other guests to encounter such risk or unpleasant experience. Please could the hotel also address this and if possible, compensate us for what happened.

Superb location. Right next to Spice Market & public market. Very vibrant atmosphere. Also walkable to the main tourist attractions like Blue mosque & Basilica Cistern. Very friendly staff & help us book a taxi & push our luggages to the pick up point. Since the hotel is within a pedestrian zone, taxi cannot drive in you have to walk a bit.

Had a 22-hour layover in Istanbul and booked this hotel for convenience, but whatever you do, don't arrive at night like we did – it's incredibly hard to find. However, after a good night's sleep, I discovered what a wonderful place it is. The hotel breakfast is quite generous, and from the outdoor balcony, you get a close-up view of the Blue Mosque's dome and the Bosphorus Strait in the distance. The market around the hotel is really interesting and great for exploring, and it's also very close to the ferry terminal.

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the Old European Quarter, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The Grand Bazaar is right downstairs. Personally, I think the biggest highlight of this hotel is the view from its restaurant. On a clear day, standing on the balcony and looking out at the Bosphorus and the mosque is truly amazing. However, because it's in the old city, the rooms are really small, and the layout is quite peculiar. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons, and it's definitely worth a stay.

Mest Hotel is a wonderful boutique hotel located right in the heart of the historic Spice Bazaar area. The moment you step outside the hotel, you are already surrounded by the vibrant bazaar atmosphere — perfect for shopping, exploring local products, and enjoying the lively energy of Istanbul. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, and food stalls just steps away. The hotel itself is not large, which gives it a cozy and intimate boutique feel. What truly stands out is the excellent service. The staff are extremely friendly, attentive, and genuinely care about their guests, always ready to help with a smile. Breakfast is served on the top floor, and the breakfast area is absolutely beautiful. The food selection is varied and well-prepared, offering a great start to the day. From the breakfast area, you can enjoy a stunning view of the sea and a beautiful blue mosque, creating a memorable and peaceful morning atmosphere. Overall, Mest Hotel offers an exceptional location, warm hospitality, and a charming experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in the very heart of Istanbul’s historic and cultural center.

They only provide two bottles of water a day. I asked the front desk for more and they only gave me one. I stayed for three days and was thirsty the whole time, lol.

The room type we booked was on the first floor of this hotel. The street below is a bustling market with many vendors and tourists. We can hear everybody talking loudly and all of the cars that pass by throughout the day. Not a moment of rest was granted since we checked in which was around noon time. I reported this issue to the faculty of this hotel, explaining the noise issue. The response from the hotel was a bluntly: theres is nothing they can do to make my stay more comfortable. I then reached out via email to the property manager and the response i received was more or less the same. As a hotel with such high ratings across many booking platforms, hospitality should be your first priority. I didn’t receive any help at all during my stay when I clearly stated that the noise was unbearable and made me restless. Travelling is tiring and I’m sure it resonates with whoever is reading this review. If a hotel has staff and management that doesn’t know how to solve problems, can they provide the help that you might need during your stay? Please do not book this hotel, there are many other choices.

The service & location is very good! The room ihas a quaint deco & clean. Love the breakfast and eapecially the view of Yeni Mosque right infront of u when having your breakfast! Will come back to stay there again if have the opportunity!

We took loft family room. It has the bazaar view but not noisy when the window close. Totally sound proof. We should have taken bigger room. The location is amidst bazaar. Its good for people who wants to shop. Its near the tram and Eminonu ferry station. Breakfast has nice view but not to our asian tastebuds😅. Overall 6/10.
