Retreat of falling waters

Walk up to the house was a bit treacherous in the rain/snow and not greatly lit. Despite clear instructions on where to park someone who stayed before is had driven up the walkway and left vehicle tracks. No water for the waterfall but scenery was gorgeous both before and after snow. Hot tub was a nice treat after a day of sightseeing and location was great to allow us to check out many locations nearby finger lakes area. Kitchen was well stocked except lacked a can opener and we improvised. Couch was as a bit shabby and springs were hitting through by the end of the stay. Water did smell of sulfur was less noticeable as the stay went on. Thankfully came prepared with bottled water for drinking. Overall an enjoyable stay especially for the price point. Electric heat in each room worked great.

What a lovely place to spend our second anniversary! The house was exactly as described. The waterfall was not running, but we can’t blame Mother Nature. The hot tub was delightful after a busy day of visiting breweries and wineries. Thank you for offering such a lovely get away in the Finger Lakes!

Overall the cabin could use some work, but the beds are soft and the water is hot. Very secluded location in a beautiful area. The waterfall was barely a trickle during my stay, but it’s been a dry summer. Had a lovely trip either way!

Our stay at the retreat of falling waters was great! We planned a trip for exploring the finger lakes and it fit the bill for us nicely! Everything was clean when we arrived and in working order. I think the outdoor area could use some landscaping love but it didn't take away from the overall experience.

We recently stayed several weeks at the Falling Waters house near Naples, NY, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent — within a five-minute drive, the town has two wineries, two breweries, and one distillery, which made for a fun and relaxing getaway. The surrounding area is beautiful, with rolling hills and scenic views, perfect for enjoying the Finger Lakes region. The house itself is comfortable and well-equipped, including two bedrooms, full kitchen and a large hot tub, making it easy to settle in and feel at home with the opportunity of bringing our pet. We especially appreciated the peaceful setting with a beautiful view of a waterfall and the convenient access to local attractions within a short drive, including mansions, museums and theaters in PennYan, Geneva, Genesee and Canandaigua.One small suggestion for improvement would be to replace a portable air conditioner in the master bedroom. During hot weather, the current unit is quite old and mostly works as a fan, which makes the room too warm and less comfortable for sleeping. A newer, more efficient unit would make a big difference for summer guests.Overall, this rental is a great choice for anyone looking to spend time outdoors doing hiking, boating and to enjoy wines and beers in the Naples area while staying in a cozy, well-located home.
