This is a beautifully restored Victorian house, conveniently located on the main street from Cornell campus and Collegetown, and a block from the Ithaca Commons. Restaurants and shops are walkable. The reception is warm and helpful. My room and bathroom were beautifully decorated although the sink is in the bedroom. There is a delightful common room with an espresso machine, oranges and applies, and small cookie snacks free and available at most hours. A hopping bar scene although I did not join in. Some nice lounging nooks. My room could have used better lighting, there was a black hole over the one table where one would want to use a computer. The nice front desk clerk brought a tiny one in for me which proved not much help. There is no closet nor bureau in the room to put clothing away. A very insufficient suit hanger with bar allows you to hang 3 or 4 jackets or shirts. Finally, while there is a cozy antique armchair, there lacks a good comfortable chair to pull up to the table. Instead, there is a grossly uncomfortable and insufficient wood folding chair. Investing a few hundred dollars would go a great way to removing some of these discomforts. Overall, a lovely inn with very courteous and helpful staff.
