Motel 6 Jackson, TN

I loved it.

Room was clean and bed seems to be fairly new but not all that comfortable. Nice shower and bathroom area. The location and parking is very undesirable and scary. A lot of homeless and vagrants seem to hang around this area. Noticed they were close to vehicles but didn't see any broken glass when I departed.

I have to say I was surprised by how great my experience at this Motel 6. I booked the room online and was looking for something extremely budget friendly. I was a little nervous at first because I figured there had to be a reason for the low price . Usually the saying “you get what you pay for” is pretty accurate but I was pleasantly surprised by this little Motel 6. I arrived an hour before my actual check-in time. I was exhausted and desperately needed to get in my room. I walked in to find that there was no staff physically there to work the front desk. I was not thrilled to see that I was going to have to check in through a kiosk. But Leo quickly made that a non-issue. I’ll go so far to say that my spirit was lifted after I walked away from that previously dreaded kiosk. Leo was kind and was immediately accommodating of my request to check-in an hour earlier than the actual check-in time. I asked him fully expecting a response like, “No. Check in is at 3:00”. But Leo did not hesitate to look to see if my room was ready and when it wasn’t he asked if a different room would be ok. I was so grateful I wasn’t just rudely dismissed as I expected because that seems to be the experience I have with most people no matter where or what the situation. I don’t know if it’s just me but it seems like just in the last 5 years people have gotten more and more hateful. So when I have a good experience interacting with someone, I appreciate it so much. Leo was a perfect example of how people in the hospitality business should be. He was kind, warm, helpful, funny, professional and had a smile on his face the whole time as he had to guide my non-tech savvy self through the process because I had never checked into a motel through a kiosk. The room was clean and comfortable. I walked into this Motel 6 exhausted and not in the best frame of mind because I had just escaped an abusive situation and was in one of the lowest periods of my life. Leo made me smile and even laugh in what felt like the first time in a long time and I was able to relax and rest and most importantly feel safe during my stay. I highly recommend.

Booked a no smoking room and was given a smoking room hardly any amenities and paper thin walls

Beautiful experience! The staff were all super sweet and professional. So the check in was very different and interesting; There is a kind person on a video Kiosk screen that will assist you with check-in, but thankfully there are also sweet and kind people that are in physically in the building to help you, and the room was fine. Thanks!

The room was great but the customer service wasn't. An employee there tried to add a $20 cash fee to the booking. She claimed there was always a fee. But I've used this motel before with no cash fee.

kept asking for $20 deposits, which is suspectable for stealing credit card information… and, no pillow

Place was hard to find and shady. Check in was with a person on a computer screen. The room was ice cold and only had a thin blanket on the bed. Bed had hair in it, mattress was disgusting, mold on shower curtain, no shampoo or body wash, no hair dryer, no tissues, no coffee pot in room. If we hadnt gotten in so late and werent literally just there to sleep for a few hours, we would have gone somewhere else. Please do not stay here. It was not worth even the $60 price tag.

No actual front desk clerk, I talked to someone over a screen. Floor in room was sticky. Bathroom floor was buckled from water damage. Multiple fire alarms were chirping due to batteries dying. MULTIPLE fire alarms. Overall, one of the sketchiest places I have ever stayed. Do not ever recommend.
