I stayed 2 nights at Blessings while I had some business in the area and wow was I spoiled rotten! From the minute I stepped in the door of this beautiful historic home I was treated like royalty. Gwenn has thought of EVERYTHING to make her guests feel pampered. The rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable, the bath products are luxurious, and the bed sheets are the best I have ever slept on! Around 9:00pm there was a knock on my door as warm cookies and milk were delivered! After a good nights sleep, I was treated to a gourmet breakfast served on fine china at a small table by the window. The food was so yummy that I requested the recipes. So instead of staying at a hotel while I am in the Central Illinois area, Blessings will be my home away from home! I already booked 2 more stays! Thank you Gwenn and Glen for making feel like family while traveling away from my loved ones.

Absolute gem in Jacksonville, if you are going to Jacksonville, you must stay here. Gwen and Glenn were absolutely fantastic. The home is stunning, the room super comfortable and the breakfast each day was unbelievably good. Will certainly stay here next time we are in Jacksonville. Thank you for an awesome experience.

Great place to stay with exceptional attention to details. Breakfast was fabulous each day and served in the formal dinning room with fine china and crystal. Our room had a comfortable bed and the bathroom has a soaking tub as well as a nice shower. Could not ask for better service. We highly recommend Blessings on State.

Our stay at Blessings on State was one of the most relaxing trips my wife and I have had the opportunity to take. From the moment you arrive you would think that you were part of their family. Their approach and behavior is genuine, and it's embedded into Gwenn's love and care for her guests. Gwenn, Glenn, and Kelly were extremely accommodating including preparing wonderful breakfasts around our voluntary dietary restrictions (keto). This truly is a beautiful place that makes you feel "at home" without the cares of normal home life.

If you’re visiting Jacksonville, IL, you must consider Blessings Bed and Breakfast on State St. It is a beautiful Victorian home perfectly suited to house guests in two lovely suites. Each suite feels very private and spacious. Gwen and Glen, the proprietors, are wonderful hosts. They and their staff, including their daughter, made us delicious breakfasts each morning and hot cookies each evening. We couldn’t ask for more. With a perfect location close to Illinois College and downtown, Blessings is a delightful place to stay.

We were immediately charmed by the warm reception and lovely home when we arrived for a weekend getaway, but we left feeling refreshed and encouraged by our stay. We had privacy and our own space to enjoy (comfortable and beautifully decorated), but often found ourselves on the main level visiting with our wonderful hosts. The breakfasts were exquisitely presented and prepared, the cookies and milk were a delicious treat before bed, and we found a few special souvenirs to purchase to remember our stay. Gwenn and Glen have certainly gone the extra mile to show hospitality to their guests and we would love to come back and recommend their home to friends and family. It was also the perfect distance from Springfield to allow for some Lincoln tourism during the day.

I recently stayed here for a weekend and had the pleasure of meeting both owners, Gwen and Glenn! They were such incredibly kind and caring people of faith. On my first night, I was staying alone, and they stopped at nothing to make sure I was comfortable. I mentioned it was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast, and this certainly exceeded my expectations. The house is beautiful, so inviting, and each room is decorated perfectly. Refreshments and a sweet treat, as well as coffee and snacks are available each day, and the breakfast in the morning is simply amazing. It is made fresh in house each morning and is just delicious. If you are anywhere near Jacksonville, I highly recommend staying here! It was an incredible experience. Thank you so much Gwen & Glenn! :)

This gorgeous home is a must stay if in Jacksonville or even Springfield area!! Everything from the decor, ambiance, breakfast, and especially the hosts is phenomenal! Gwen and Glen go above and beyond to make you feel special and at home! The breakfast served in the beautiful formal dining room was five star! The rooms were comfortable and clean! They provide everything you need and want. We will for sure be back anytime we're in the area!
