One of the most wonderful places in India to have a holiday. I loved the place with its location, services, polo ground, horses and the kitchen. Vikram Rathore, the owner of the place is one the best person whom I met so far. From staff, I am very delighted with the administrative services and thanks to Vijay and Ajay bhaiya who organised everything for us. From kitchen, I have enjoyed the most wonderful food from Amit ji “the great chef”. From house keeping, all staff is amazing. I will recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a luxury holiday in Jaipur. Dr P Sodhi

My husband and I tied the knot at Mundota Fort and Palace, and it was simply magical. As a Jaipur native, I wanted our wedding venue to reflect my Rajasthani heritage, and Mundota did not disappoint. From our first visit to the property to the final goodbye, everything went smoothly and felt like a dream. The owner, Digvijay, and his team—Swapnil, Ajay, Badal, Vijay, Narendra and the rest of the staff —were incredibly hospitable and professional. They went out of their way to make our wedding vision a reality, collaborating with our planners and keeping us in the loop every step of the way. The staff's camaraderie was evident, which made the whole experience even more special. Our guests were treated to delicious food and top-notch service. The diverse menu catered to everyone's tastes, and the staff even arranged a food tasting beforehand with the catering group they regularly work with—one of the best in Jaipur. Their own kitchen at Mundota also had incredible food, especially the breakfasts! The rooms at Mundota were stunning, blending traditional and modern design elements perfectly. Our guests loved the luxury cottages and spacious suites, and the War Fort on the Hilltop provided a breathtaking backdrop for our wedding ceremony. We also had our wedding ceremony on the Fort and got the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen that evening. One of the other highlights was hosting Camel Polo at their renowned Polo Grounds—an unforgettable experience for everyone! The property itself is a sight to behold, with beautiful grounds and Rajasthani artwork everywhere you look. It's just as magical at night as it is during the day, and being away from the city allowed us to party all night long. Mundota's location, not far from Jaipur city and the international airport, made it convenient for our guests, especially those coming from abroad. Our stay was safe, memorable, and impeccable in every way. I highly recommend Mundota to anyone looking for a special getaway. Our wedding there will always hold a special place in our hearts, thanks to the wonderful staff and ***agement who made it all possible. We can't wait to visit again and relive the memories.

Notwithstanding the mixed reviews, we booked a war suite for 2 nights (at $1,000 AUD per night breakfast and dinner included). As it was we were the only guests in the whole complex - in between Netflix shooting the Royals. We had room 51 with the most private plunge pool. We were told it was the best room. 52 has a rooftop pool with the best views but not private - we were allowed to use it as well. 53 is out of action and the plunge pool seems to be across a public courtyard. 54 and 55 each have larger pools and sunset views but not private. 56 - 60 are in a newer block and apparently have jacuzzis. The palace rooms are in the original building, a newer similar style block and some new safari tent type cabins that are uninspiring from the outside but fabulously decorated inside. The staff try very hard and are very attentive (especially cricket mad Amit and Ajeep). The food was lovely and we dined on the fort terrace with breakfast at the palace. Drink prices were reasonable considering. It is a hot 10 minute walk between the palace and fort or a quick very bumpy open Jeep ride. The rooms were clean and the massive beds comfortable. There are minor (for us) annoyances. No phone but there was a hot spot so we could order and communicate by whatsap. Nevertheless, we must have fielded over a dozen knocks on the door. We could not really lock our room - although there is security and staff present 24/7. There is assorted construction debris, broken furniture and light fittings around the common area. The pools are quite cold even late March. Would be too cold in the middle of winter - they really need to be heated. Still there are the jacuzzi rooms. We ubered here from Jaipur - only 600r but we tipped 200r. A car back was quoted at 3000r but with Ajay the GM's assistance we had a taxi sent from Jaipur and it cost 1500r. They have a centralised tipping system so it is shared. They only take cash so bring enough. All we had was 3,000r but we thought they deserved more. We had a very special and unique experience.

We came here for an event and while the event itself was great (due to the company), the stay itself was abhorrent. Please avoid at all costs. 1. There is no WiFi. Do not believe what they say on their website. There is absolutely no WiFi anywhere (with the occasional exception of their "lobby"). Reception is also very (very) limited. This was an issue because I had relied on there being WiFi as I had work to do. This was also an issue because of #2. 2. We stayed at the hilltop fort. To get a car to come down to the palace hotel (and to anywhere really), you have to "dial 9" to retrieve a car. There were two issues with this. One, since there was no wifi and limited reception - this was nearly impossible. Two, there was no phone in the room. So to get out of the fort, we would just have to hope that there was someone waiting there to take us down. 3. The rooms were absolutely FILTHY. I'm talking dust EVERYWHERE. You couldn't walk barefoot. The rooms had not been cleaned (there was an old contact lens case from the previous tenant on the floor). Electrical sockets were falling from the wall. Half the light switches didn't work. The bathroom was extremely small and poorly designed in that getting in and out of the shower was a constant struggle. 4. We were overcharged. $300/night overcharged. This was outrageous and we were definitely taken for a ride. 5. Breakfast was fine but there are flies everywhere and they didn't turn on their fans to help swat the flies away. 6. They did not come to clean the room everyday so it was a bit of a struggle to get replacement toilet paper. I'm furious that this was our experience. For the price tag, we were expecting something much more seamless (at the very least, working WiFi) and not so stressful. Their pictures are not true to reality. There are other beautiful places to stay in Jaipur - do not give this place any more money.

The fort sitting proudly atop the hill was a sight to behold. Upon reaching the palace lobby at the base of the hill, we were greeted warmly by the staff, accompanied by lively traditional music. They whisked us up to the fort in a buggy, and the view only became more breathtaking as we ascended slowly. Opting for the pool suite, we were amazed by its sheer size. Each suite, being part of a fort, had its own unique charm. It might be worth exploring a couple of them before making a decision. The thoughtful little treats provided added a nice touch to our stay. Among the ***y highlights were the various activities offered, such as archery, camel cart rides, kite flying, and complimentary high tea. Although we didn't get a chance to use the pool, we heard great things about the beautiful infinity rock pool. The food exceeded our expectations in both quality and price. Given the limited dining options, we were initially worried about the prices and the quality of the food, but we were pleasantly surprised.

Our group, consisting of 7 couples and 4 kids, had the remarkable opportunity to exclusively rent out the entire war fort, and what a truly unforgettable experience it turned out to be! The sheer grandeur and historical significance of the fort as an architectural masterpiece left us in awe, and the innovative transformation of this structure into a contemporary hotel is truly praiseworthy. It is evident that the individuals responsible for the renovations have poured their hearts and souls into the project, resulting in a fabulous outcome that truly impressed us! Throughout our stay, the service we received was exemplary, leaving very little to be desired, with the only downside being the unfortunate weather conditions that were not in our favor. Despite this minor setback, the overall experience at the fort was nothing short of extraordinary, with its unique ambiance and charm adding to the overall appeal of the property. The blend of history and modernity, coupled with the impeccable service, made our stay truly memorable, and we left with nothing but admiration for the fort and the team behind its transformation. In conclusion, we found this property to be a hidden gem with a fantastic atmosphere that captivated us from the moment we arrived.
