I stayed at Khatu Haveli for three nights in November, and it truly felt like discovering a hidden gem in the bustle of Jaipur. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed not just as a guest but as part of a family retreat. This historic haveli radiates kindness, dedication, and professionalism. The Property Khatu Haveli was built in mid 19th Century. Since then, six generations of the Khatu family have lived in the there. - Beautifully furnished rooms reflecting Rajasthani cultural heritage - Spacious common areas designed for relaxation - Rooftop terrace with sweeping views of Nahargarh Fort and the city and at night a cozy evening lighting that creates a stylish, tranquil atmosphere - Despite being in the city center, the haveli is quietly tucked away on a secluded side street. My room was virtually noise-free. Hard to believe you’re in a capital city. The Hosts & Service What makes Khatu Haveli truly exceptional are the owners, Sushma and Gayatri, ***** with their attentive staff. Their pride in the haveli shines through in every detail. - Sushma’s treasure trove of stories about her life and this six-generation-owned building was captivating. She could easily write a compelling book about it. I could have listened for hours. - Gayatri even offered to accompany me to go to an Airtel shop to get a local SIM card, a gesture that speaks volumes about their care. - Their suggestions led me to lesser-known treasures I would never have found on my own. - They are true masters of tour organizing. Their knowledge about the different (not so well known) sites and attractions, the way and speed they arranged plans and drivers for the next day at a fair price was unbelievable. - Apparently they also know some good massage places which I only by chance found out the last evening before I left. Wish they would've told me sooner, but then again my days were already packed... This level of hospitality sets a benchmark for future hoteliers. The Food Meals deserve special mention: homemade, mouthwatering, and served with the warmth of sharing a family table. The three-course menu is the same food the owners enjoy themselves, making the experience feel authentic and personal. The Rooms Comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully decorated with fine touches that highlight the haveli’s historic character. Every detail felt intentional and added to the charm. Overall Impression Khatu Haveli is not a flashy, anonymous hotel—it is a soulful oasis, a place with heart, character, history, and kindness. If you value authenticity, tranquility, and outstanding hospitality, this is the place to stay in Jaipur. I can easily imagine it becoming my temporary “home” whenever I return. Highly recommended. While looking for an accomodation for our Jaipur trip, we came across the Khatu Haveli and choosing it was not only a good choice monetarily but also an amazing choice for anyone who wants to experience that Rajasthani Haveli experience. The ride to the Haveli was a little bumpy through the Chandpole market and while the haveli looked like nothing we expected; we were wonderfully surprised and welcomed through the old fashioned gates into an atmosphere of quaint luxury and greenery. We had initially booked the courtyard room but were upgraded to the terrace room free of charge. The terrace room had beautiful decor and an even prettier view. The room had all the amenities - fast wifi, good air conditioning, mini fridge, tv. The bed was comfortable and the room was tidy and clean. The bathroom was modern with running hot water. The cleaning staff were efficient and trustworthy too. The food (dinner and breakfast) was delicious and had variety too. It was exactly like a home cooked meal. The staff also accomodates food preferences if any. Mr. Manish looked after and accomodated our every need to matter the hour of the day or evening. He booked autos/provided with cabs for whichever time we chose. The staff also waited for us till late hours and made sure we reached the Haveli safely. Infact, Manish ji went 10 steps further to make sure our stay at the Haveli was od the highest standard. The owners of the Haveli were also very kind, polite and welcoming. They made sure to be present and even gave us amazing recommendations that levelled up our trip. Truly a Hidden Gem.
