Off season but 1 out of 4 ice machines worked ant hot tub was out of order. Will visit again, good off season rates.

We chose this resort for a 2 day stay before heading to see family in Cincinnati, it is a good drive in from the hiway, but very scenic, once you get off the main road and hit the park road you have a 3 + mile drive in to the resort location. Easy check in, and based on time of the year not many people here, which was great, had pool , hot tub, and most of the restaurant to ourselves, not much noise, great water view, room was acceptable but out dated, tub drained very very very slow, the restaurant has a limited menu which is rather blah, morning breakfast was a disappointment as it was no different than most hotels free continental breakfast, only difference here was it cost you $7.95, there is a gas station just up road , they have snacks and pizza and beer if needed, staff are friendly, pool was clean, but a tad cold, hot tub also was clean but just abit cool, lots of hiking trails and things to do, the marina is just down the hill, overall a nice place, a must see or stay if ever up that way, cheers

The cabin had all that we needed. The view was magnificent. The staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay again. My only complaint would be the meal we got at the lodge restaurant. Overpriced for what you got and just not that good. We were ignored for several minutes upon arrival and then we asked our waitress what drinks were available and she told us Pepsi products. We didn't even know alcohol was an option until another table got served.

The Pumpkin Creek Lodge is older, but our room was perfectly cleaned without any odors. The bed was most comfortable. No frills, but a great place to sleep after a day on the lake. Must check in at the main lodge, but The Pumpkin Creek Lodge is very nearby. I would definitely recommend that you give this a try.

Cumberland lake is a beautiful area and the Kentucky State Park resort was very nice. The staff was pleasant. The room was clean.
