Stayed in a sea-view suite, and the balcony offered a direct view of the stunning 'jelly sea' – watching the sunrise was incredibly therapeutic. The convenience store and bus stop downstairs were very close, making it easy to get around. The room itself was tidy, but the only downsides were that the facilities were a bit old, and the hygiene wasn't great. The drain was clogged and took a long time to fix.

Before, when I read reviews for this hotel, I saw some comments saying it was old and the hygiene was just so-so. I was debating whether to switch to this hotel mid-trip. But because the location is great, right by Hamdeok Beach where you can go for a swim, I decided to go for it. My stay experience: The room wasn't old and was clean. They gave us four cup noodles for free at check-in, which we picked up from the hotel's mini-mart. Guests staying at the hotel get a discount on the grilled pork set meal at the restaurant on the first floor of Building C, so we added cold noodles and steamed egg. It's just a few minutes' walk to the beach, and the water was better than I expected (even on a cloudy, showery day when I took photos). There were little crabs and fish. The only downside is that the bed was small, so one of us had to sleep on the floor as a family of three. Overall, it's great value for money and definitely worth staying at.

Choosing Sono Belle Hotel for our family trip to Jeju was an excellent decision – it made traveling with kids a breeze!
The hotel's location is superb, just a few minutes' walk from Hamdeok Beach. The gentle slopes and small waves make it super safe for kids to play in the sand and wade in the water, and it's easily accessible even with a stroller. Our ocean view room offered a fantastic vista, with a balcony directly facing the beautiful blue sea and sky. Waking up to the sunrise and enjoying the sea breeze in the evening made for incredible photos.
The room itself was spacious and clean. The family room had ample space and came with a separate kitchen and a refrigerator, which was incredibly convenient for preparing baby food and warming milk. I'm being very objective here, I rarely review hotels, but this one is genuinely terrible. First off, the service attitude was awful. On top of that, the room reeked of mildew, and the decor was severely outdated. The bath towels in the room were also stained black, and there were mold spots all over the walls. Most importantly, the bed sheets and duvet covers were filthy; I was itchy all over after just one night. Plus, there were a lot of tiny bugs, like gnats, in the bathroom. After two days, I had absolutely no desire to enjoy my trip. This hotel is definitely not a five-star hotel, so be careful when booking!

Location & Facilities: The hotel’s location is perfect, walkable to the beach, restaurants, and shops. Having a 24-hour convenience store, souvenir shop, and various eateries (BBQ Chicken, Pizza, Coffee) right in the lobby was incredibly convenient for traveling with a child and an elderly parent. Parking was also plentiful.
The Room: We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of our Suite. It featured two bedrooms: one with a queen bed and another with comfortable floor mattresses. The fully equipped kitchen (pots, pans, and dish soap included) was a highlight; we loved cooking late-night Ramyeon!
Cleanliness & Service: The hotel maintains high standards. I especially appreciated the organized trash disposal area on the floor that we stayed.
Regarding service, the staff was attentive and helpful, especially during a fire drill. While we understand these drills are infrequent, the initial announcements were entirely in Korean, causing confusion and worry for our family. English was only used at the final moment for the "evacuate" command. Although the front desk staff was very eager to explain using a translator, it would be much better if all informative announcements were provided in English to prevent unnecessary panic.
Overall: A fantastic, family-friendly choice. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Jeju!
