Hotel Colombo

The room, never had any plugs in next yo the bed while the nearest plug was the toilet. The breakfast variety was very small but good. In terms of the hotel within itself I would like to rate it a five star but its unfortunate that the pool was closed while it being December, this should not be an excuse for it being closed while the pool should be getting heated up more during the winter much like the outdoor pools in Iceland while it is freezing the pool is hot. I wojld have realy liked for the pool to be open as its all included as part of the cost.

We had two rooms half board basis . The rooms were as requested on high level . Both had lovely balcony with chairs. The hotel staff very happy and friendly always smiling, had a little difficulty with language barrier and didn't always get what we had asked for but it didn't really matter. It looks like the hotel is undergoing a revamp we notice some of the rooms were really modern . Our rooms were very 80s styling although it was all clean and tidy nothing broken all still in good condition. Air-conditioning work well in the rooms. the bathrooms were modern and had shower gel shampoo etc. Towels changed everyday I think . The main areas of the hotel are very high spec modern really nice . There is a carpark if you needed it. The pool bar area is lovely and worth the 5euro for a bed for the day you also get a towel with that. Drinks are good an not over priced. Views are lovely from the roof top. Littlerly a 5 min walk and your on the beach where the hotel provides free beds for all guests. Lots of high quality shops bars and restaurants 2 min walk away. Bus stop is a 2 min walk away and takes you to punta sabbioni takes about 40 mins you can buy tickets at the tourist information office again just 5 min walk I think it was 6.50 euro each way. you can get the boat to Venice and other islands. The food at the hotel wasn't really my thing . They did have lots of buffet food though and its all great quality food. Drinks at the hotel similar to uk prices . Cocktails about 10 euro. The beach is lovely and clean lots of toilets , changing cubicals and showers . Beach bars and restaurants. Had a fab time here and would definitely stay here again if we were to return .

I spent a short stay with my family in June 2025. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I don't speak Italian other than the normal niceties, hello, good morning etc... However we were able to communicate for the main part. I would rate the service as 8.5/10. The room was very small and compact but had all we required except for a kettle to make some tea. The bed was fine but the pillows were very hard and uncomfortable, I need 2 pillows but we only had 1 initially. The Maid noticed that I was using a blanket I found as a second pillow and provide me with another pillow which was nice. There was no external noise from the street to affect our sleep The room air conditioning worked well but was noisy which woke me in the night after my daughter had turned it on. I would rate the room at 6.5/10 The food was okay, lots of fish and pasta dishes which I don't mind, however my wife who doesn't like fish struggled to find something she liked. She took more from the buffet which was salads and meats, cheese etc. The choice of meals was small if you didn't like or fancy the 3-4 choices available, you could have salad but that could be quite boring over the period of your holiday. I would rate the food as a 6/10 The hotel has a roof top pool with a small bar. Their is a 5 euro fee for a sunbed by the pool all day and food can also be purchased. There is also a bar downstairs. You can charge any drinks or food to your room and pay at the end of your holiday. Facilities I would give 5/10 The hotel is very clean and well kept. Our stay was pleasant and enjoyable, I would recommend the hotel, however temper your expectations. This is a good 3 stars Hotel
