It’s located outside the ancient town. The host is very friendly. As I am a female solo traveller the host had offered me a free ride to and back from the ancient town due to the road environment is too dark to walk at night. There is a weekly market 市集 on every Friday morning till 4pm+ nearby the hotel. It’s like 5 mins walking distance and you can walk along the market to reach the ancient town. If you intend to walk from hotel to ancient town it will take about 15-18 mins. The restaurant opposite the hotel 姐妹 restaurant is very nice and affordable price. The room is clean and comfy. Theres is warmer blanket on the bed and I can’t leave my bed in the cold weather.

We made some last changes to our trip and the owner was very kind to accommodate to us and allowed us to check out slightly later so we could explore the old town again before leaving. The electric blanket kept us warm at night. Breakfast was one of the best mixian we had during our trip. Location is slightly further out but it was easy to get didi.

Highly recommended, new and clean hotel in the Shaxi area. There is a morning market every Friday, walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast is delicious , simple and nice.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience staying at Shaxi Ruchu Homestay. The room was big, cozy, clean, and wonderfully decorated. There is a beautiful small garden at level 2. The owner was an amazing host—very welcoming and attentive, offering great tips on local spots to visit. We enjoyed the Friday market and spent the whole morning there. The homemade breakfast 鸡汤米线 was delicious! The location was peaceful and within walking distance to Shaxi Ancient Town. Highly recommend homestay for anyone looking for a warm, personal, and comfortable place to stay.

Located 1.5km away from old town, there are lots of ebike that can take 4 pax to old town, cost ¥20 per ride.

A wonderful place!!!!! It is outside the ancient town, but a short 10-15 min walk into the town. Love the peaceful countryside vibe. Host is amazing and very helpful. We loved the eatery downstairs which we ate each night and each morning for breakfast! :) Thank you!
