I love this hotel. The garden inside is beautiful, the room is large and the people is helpful. I really like the life here, it’s quiet and peace. In here, i met an old man who helped me book ticket return Lijiang, he is a good and gentle person. I will come back here if i come Shaxi again.

I loved this hotel. The location was perfect. The room was very big and full of light. The hosts were super accommodating and served me breakfast, invited me for dinner, and let me do my laundry. I’ll definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Shaxi.

Good position in the old town. Friendly staff but not always in attendance. Room overlooked the street so was pretty noisy. Walls were paper thin so heard all the bumps in the night, mind you my return serve snoring played a part as well. Wifi a bit light, bed was hard but apart from this we survived and loved exploring Shaxi.

Shaxi Ancient Town has beautiful scenery, pleasant climate, and simple folk customs. The inn is run by two local elders. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the environment is beautiful. It is located at the entrance of Beizhaimen, making it very convenient to travel. The uncles and aunts are very nice, warm and attentive. The dishes cooked by the aunts are delicious. The raw matsutake mushrooms with mustard are delicious, the local chicken soup tastes fresh and sweet, and the porcini stir-fried with chili... Coming here is like returning home. Arrive at my hometown in the countryside!

The location of the inn is pretty good. It's not far from the main road. You don't have to drag your suitcases around the ancient town. The roads in the ancient town are all uneven gravel roads. The ancient town is not big and it is very convenient to go anywhere. The inn is run by an old couple and the people are very nice. Okay, I also borrowed my washing machine to wash clothes. Because it is the off-season, there are few people and the price is very favorable. I recommend staying there.

This is a very warm hotel. I always book accommodation online. On the first day I arrived in Shaxi, I booked another hotel with a higher rating online. The check-in service experience was not very good, so I found it by myself. This accommodation has a large courtyard. The proprietress was very enthusiastic and took me to buy mushrooms to make mushroom oil, which enabled me to be free from mushrooms. In the future, when we recall Shaxi, we will have the warmth this store brought to our home!
