Mount Fanjing Muxi Mountain Lodge

We spent two nights here while visiting Mount Fanjing, and it was one of the most memorable stays of our trip. From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel completely at home. They greeted us with big smiles, offered us cigarettes, and even helped us with parking and laundry. Small gestures that already said a lot about their kindness. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with a great shower and bathroom. The hotel itself is perfectly located, just a ten-minute walk from the entrance of the national park, and sits right next to a peaceful river. On our first evening, they even drove us to a nearby restaurant, which was a lovely touch. The second night was unforgettable. They invited us to share a home-cooked meal and introduced us to all the local dishes, including homemade dumplings, giving us a true taste of the region. They were incredibly generous, pouring drinks, sharing rice wine and soju, and making sure everyone was laughing and happy. After dinner, they taught us how to count in Chinese and played games with us, it felt like spending the evening with friends rather than just hotel hosts. The atmosphere throughout our stay was warm, welcoming, and full of good energy. We left with full hearts, big smiles, and a lot of gratitude.
