Jinghong Chunman International Youth Hostel (Manting Park Branch)

Not the best hostel, but cheap enough. The mattress is so hard, as if you are sleeping on the boards. You need to go up to the 5th floor without an elevator. Employees speak English very poorly.

Quite a nice hostel with friendly staff. We didnt use the 8 person dormitory though because we are not comfortable. Ended up sleeping with my parents in their room.

Good location and friendly staff but the air conditioner was cooling the room properly and it ws dripping water on the floor. Dirty room and bathroom and not very clean hallways.

Extremely helpful staff, the place is very near a nice walkable shopping street. I stayed in the private room and it was basic yet it had all I needed.

I decided to update to single room, after having a look. Well, better avoid live with long term tenants, probably are workers there, they definitely make the room their owns.  There were volunteers doing check in. I have to condemn some boys how ignorant and non professional they were, well girls are helpful.

Really really friendly staff (two volunteer girls) The lobby and the bar is really beautiful. For the price I had to change the linen by my self, this is fine and easy. But in all the showers (in the room and in the lobby) there is no shower head hat it makes it hard to shower. Over all a clean and good hostel for a fair good price. Would come back.

At arrival you have to pat a 20YUAN deposit for the roomcard. The staff is very kind. Check-in took very long though (like 20 minutes). You have to make the bed yourself which is fine. There are flipflops and soap. But there is NO free toiletpaper. If you want toiletpaper you have to buy it for 4 yuan... Location is near a street foodmarket place. The hostel is well located at walking distance from Manjinglan Ancient City, the Riverside Night Market and the Star Light Night Market (a longer walk) There are many convenience shops and restaurants close by The room (8 female dorm) is spacious with large lockers but as already mentioned by other guests, there are many permanent residents and the room feels a bit crammed The building is cosy with a downstairs and an upstairs open air garden/common area for meeting fellow travellers The personnel is so friendly and helpful, a real treat!
