I went to Taigu to stay at Hanting Hotel. From the beginning of the consultation, the little girl at the front desk was very patient to answer, and also helped to upgrade the room. The location is very convenient, very close to the school, and there are many places to eat around. I played in Taigu for a few days. At first, I thought about going to other hotels for the next two days, but the service attitude of the handsome guy at the front desk was too good to leave. , There are various problems that will help solve them properly. After going to Taigu, I will stay.

Staying at Jinzhong Jindu International Hotel, it is a very satisfactory hotel for this trip. The room is large, the windows are large, the scenery outside the window is beautiful, the room is clean, the bedding is comfortable, the room is soundproofed, the night is very quiet, the breakfast is rich, the front desk manager Zhao and her friends are very serious. Careful, arranged a quiet room for me, the beautiful scenery outside the window, the service was warm and thoughtful, the room manager on the 10th floor sent yogurt and snacks, and seriously asked what needs, and then sent us a few bottles of drinking water, thank you! The Chinese restaurant in the hotel is delicious and not expensive, and there is a young waiter who is very good.

I was passing by Taigu and wanted to see the ancient city. I stayed at this hotel and the reception service was warm and welcoming.
The location is convenient, not far from the ancient city on foot, and tickets and backyard parking are also convenient.
What makes you feel bad is:
1 The floor where I checked in on the first day may have used toilet cleaners or detergents. There were no windows on the floor or room for ventilation, and the smell was pungent. I had to open the windows to sleep at night, and I was harassed by the noise of vehicles from the main road below. Night. The floor was changed the next day. The waiter said they were used to it and couldn't even smell it.
2 During breakfast, the old woman in the restaurant may have wanted to urge the guests to come in and leave (8:40), but when she was putting away the tableware used by the guests, she smashed pots and bowls with a face and made a loud noise. The scene Extremely bad! Looking at this scene, I stopped eating and rushed in and out! Doesn’t the Hanting chain store even have basic etiquette training? Discredit the brand!

The hotel is definitely very good in the local area, the room is large, the service is warm, it should be not many guests, so the breakfast is very simple. There seems to be no business nearby. We all ate at the hotel. The amount of dishes is really large. Neither of us is very good and the taste is better than expected. Before I went, I didn't know that Taigu was difficult to take a taxi. The hotel manager helped us contact the taxi. The driver was not bad. We went to Qiao's compound and took his car.

AAReally nice place, but as for most hotels, you cannot expect the staff to speak English (not a problem for me, but if you don't speak any Chinese be prepared). Location is great as it is around 2 minutes walk from 南大街/South Street and all the main museums and courtyards. The owners were very friendly and helpful, making time to explain all the places to see and were to eat. They can even help with good discounts, e.g. for the historical-themed performance '又见平遥'/Encore Pingyao as well as for restaurants.
The hotel is in a beautiful traditional courtyard, very quiet area so you will sleep well at night. The room has traditional furniture, adding to the atmosphere, and while small (but good value for the price) was comfortable. The bed is a so-called 'kang' with heating - it was so comfortable in the cold winter that it was hard to get out of bed in the morning! Part of the floor has heating too. The cleanliness is good too. I would really recommend this place, very good atmosphere and with everything you need to be comfortable.

It is reasonably priced, a bit out of the very center (meaning also out of tourists crowds that can be quite noisy in the evenings and mornings), but still close, has same old-style design as the more popular and well-established places that cater to foreigners, but priced twice as much. Pick-up and drop off service is provided - just contact the hotel in advance via phone using the reception of tour previous hotel - no one speaks English - it will solve your communication issue if you do not speak Chinese. At the place itself everyone is very eager to help - use your phone app to translate. Onwer helped me to buy tickets to Pingyao attractions and Terracota Army as I was heading to Xian next (available only through WeChat Pay that is in turn is not availablefor foreign tourists as of April 2023). If you go to Shuanglin temple, be sure to ask to buy tickets through WeChat for you as well. I was able to buy physical one by pure compassion of local guard who asked the staff to open ticket office just for me (Probably was the only foreigner in Pingyao at a time). Please also note that as of April 2023, the reconstruction works in the historical city parts are continuing, so, large chunks of the city within the walls are not looking as great as it could have been. The very center of the city is mostly untouched though and you can still come and explore. If going in spring, be prepared for the temperature swings. I got a temperature drop from 28C to 3C within 2 days by the moment I got to Pingyao. It was even snowing at night.

GGuest UserThe kang bed is very large and spacious, and the suite structure separates the active and quiet areas. The public area of the traditional courtyard is very cozy, and the breakfast arrangement is reasonable and rich. The lucky cat guarding the store is really pleasing, and it is well-behaved and can be petted and hugged.
The store is close to the south gate of the ancient city. If you drive by yourself, you need to park in the parking lot outside the ancient city and take a tour bus to enter.

The little brother contacted us in advance, informed us of the parking location, and arranged for an electric car to take us to the door of the homestay, which was very considerate. In addition, he helped us book a tour guide for Pingyao the next day, as well as electric cars and tickets for the movie ”See Pingyao Again”, which was super great~
The room also touched me very much. It was large in size, with the exterior wall in the old style of Pingyao, but the interior was in a modern garden style. The room had its own private small courtyard, and it was its own little world behind the door, which was super beautiful
I'll come back and stay there next time I have a chance

— The hotel is too expensive.
— Not a smoke free hotel. There was even smoke inside the lobby and the second night it was all over our room too (airconditioning?).
— The first night we tried the dinner, but it was not good. They have photos of the food, but it doesn’t match with what you get. We ordered salmon sushi and got FROZEN sushi instead which was obviously not eatable.
— When we asked for a tea on the terrace we were charged 48 Yuan per person which is way too expensive.
— The bedroom is a bit too small and has the same size as the bathroom.

GGuest UserI went there on the second day of the ***** New Year. Hotels and B&Bs in the scenic area were too expensive. I booked the boss’ B&B online. It was pretty good, but the location was a bit out of the way. I booked a double bed room with my brother, and the boss gave me an extra bed. Quilt
